Smokey 9031 Dec 2005 10:54 GMT6
The exhaust smoke from my 1989 90 2.5 DT is quite disturbing. Once warmed up
and driven, all is ok (after 10 mins or so), but it only needs to sit for 20
mins, and on start up its smokey as hell again?
Had new oil,  fuel and K&N air filters.
LR Club West Yorks30 Dec 2005 20:15 GMT10
Any recommendations?  I've decided as an in-advance new year's resolution to

good idea.
I'm in Holmfirth.

Driving home tonight, the oil warning light started to light when the engine
was idling at junctions, but went out when the revs increased. I checked the
engine oil level and it was up to the full mark , after letting it stand for
a few minutes. There is also a knocking noise. ...
Aftermarket OAT recommendations?29 Dec 2005 23:58 GMT16
Can anyone suggest a good after-market thermometer?  What I want is
something with a sensor that can be mounted reasonably close to road-level
on a Disco I, with a display I can easily read while driving in the dark
(which I suppose pretty much dictates an illuminated digital ...

This is a follow up to an earlier thread discussing the merits of diesel
 heaters 24v, 12v etc.
I purchased a 24v Eberspacher D1LC heater from a chap on eBay.  It sat
in its box until a couple of days ago when I started to look at fixing
