Whilst out in the wilds of Staffordshire yesterday I had a puncture in
the rear nearside of my 1990 110 Defender CSW.
Not a problem, with two spares on the car and all the proper Landrover
jacking kit, this should be a doddle.

Well she finally came home yesterday and has cost my insurance Co well over
£1,300.
Here's my log of events.....
Stolen 19th Dec 2005. (Sunday night/Monday morning) reported to Surrey

Set off to town this morning and the clutch pedal went to the floor when I
changed gear at a T junction. I pulled the pedal up again with my toe and
it worked fine for a few more gear changes, then down to the floor again.
Stamping made no difference but lifting with the toe did ...

I need to fit a tow hitch to my ambi to pull a standard trailer (not
nato).  I have already collected some sketches of how I intend to
fabricate the hitch plate and connect it to the chassis, but would
appreciate it if any of you have done a similar thing and would be

I have just cleared my garage now and have pulled out a 3.9 V8 out , its
very low mileage 60k, The engine interior is like new, Its slightly stripped
as in manifolds ect and timing cover as was going to be going into my 101
but as ive now sold the 101 its in need of a home plus ...

P38 lower tailgate, as new but has a hole cut below number plate for
reverse camera (Yeah, i know!)My mates brother has a bodyshop so the
painting etc will be ok.I though of either leaving it there (ugly)or
getting it sorted (gawd knows)

I've recently taken on a P38 Rangie HSE which has the above NOKIA
HSE-6XA carphone system installed. Does anybody out there have
experience of this carphone system??? and if so any pro's and cons of
keeping and retaining it???  As it appears that it would be pretty good

According to the manual, when the traction control is
operational, a light illuminates on the dash.
I deliberately drove one set of wheels (drivers side) onto a
particularly slippy bit of mud the other day, floored the

I have a continuing sealing problem on one axle that wants to leak more than
the average LandRover designed amount. The original seals on my '75 RR were
of the leather variety but I was never able to get new ones to work properly
