Spring pressure????31 Mar 2006 23:56 GMT23
Hi all what force is required to squash a classic Range Rover 1972 front
coil spring and a rear coil spring, reason for this is I want to experiment
with home made air suspension on a Range Rover.

changing disco front discs31 Mar 2006 21:19 GMT8
this weekend weather permitting I am planning on changing the front pads and
discs on my 300tdi disco, I foresee two possible problems.
when the hub is off the axle what's the best way of holding it whilst I undo
the disc bolts?
V8 poor running in wet, HT lead?31 Mar 2006 20:52 GMT6
My series 3 V8 has for a while now ran poorly in damp or wet weather, one
moment its running fine the next it looses a lot of power and only just
keeps going. Over the past 6 months or so I've been trying to find the
problem and have overhauled or replaced several parts (carbs, ...

Tyre pressures for wet mud31 Mar 2006 10:39 GMT17
I spent yesterday afternoon on a cave rescue in a field in the middle of the
White Peak. It got progressively wetter as the afternoon wore on and as it
went dark, just as we were packing up, it started to piss down.
At the cave entrance, about a quarter mile across a sheep-grazed ...
RRC battery31 Mar 2006 09:39 GMT11
Evening all,
Just a quick one, I don't have access to a RR manual at the moment, so
i hope someone can advise. The battery on the Rangie is on it's last
legs. Is it a straightforward change or is it different because it has
Bad charging update31 Mar 2006 07:30 GMT2
A while ago I posted an appeal concerning the lack of charge on my 90. The
warning light was extinguishing as normal but the battery was slowly going
flat. I checked the charge voltage and it never got above 13.2. It was
suggested that I clean the alternator connections, which I ...
Slightly OT: MOT Test31 Mar 2006 07:26 GMT26
My Laguna has an MOT on Friday; the passenger door mirror is cracked.  Will
this be an MOT fail?
Thanks,
Paul
Poly Bush Kits31 Mar 2006 06:17 GMT5
I need to replace all 6 of the radius arm bushes on my 1990 90, and i was
thinking of fitting pollybushes.
I assume that they are easier to fit, as they come in 2 bits... how much of
a bastard is it to get the old ones out?

Insurance: Private vs. Commercial30 Mar 2006 22:03 GMT5
My insurance is up for renewal and that concentrates the mind!
A few years ago I had a problem when my LR was off the road because of an
accident. It was insured for private use. The courtesy car provided by the
insurers was totally inadequate but they would not agree to change it ...
1995 Range Rover LWB30 Mar 2006 18:53 GMT3
Hi, new to the group here... and new to Range Rovers.
I purchased a 1995 RR LWB last week.  I've noticed that, when first
started, the brake booster compressor runs for 5-10 seconds before the
brake light goes out.  And it's a bit noisy when running.   Just
ODB2 Code30 Mar 2006 18:20 GMT1
I'm showing an ODB2 fault code of P1316, which is "Misfire Causing
Excessive Emissions". I've come across this in a Rover before so I'm not
sure exactly what I'm dealing with. Is it just that it needs a tune-up?
Wiring loom30 Mar 2006 17:40 GMT2
Any one else had to pay £100s for a engine wiring loom
its for a D11 TD5
Brazing rods30 Mar 2006 15:58 GMT1
Not an ad, but might be useful to someone:
I've been looking for brazing rods for ages, and now discover that
Toolstation (www.toolstation.com) have them in small quantities (wot I
needed), and are only two miles down the road!
