Dumper truck tryes on SII/IIA12 Mar 2006 09:41 GMT2
Wondered if anyone had any suggestions, possibly getting one of the above (it might even be a SIII) to launch a boat on a beach.  The vehicle won't be going near any roads and the top of the beach has some very soft sand.  I want the fattest tyres for flotation and grip but I ...

Further to my post about my RRC gearbox deciding to only give me random
gears, "like an umbrella in a fox hole" as a mate described it today
after trying to select a gear. I will be attempting a rebuild.
I have most of the innards of another box, although i do not intend to
LRM advertiser "Exchange Engines" ***A WARNING***11 Mar 2006 11:42 GMT18
I was suprised to see an advert in LRM (Land Rover Monthly) for "Exchange
Engines" (page 188 April 2006). This company has been subject to numerous
complaints to Hounslow and Surrey trading standards and "starred" in a
recent edition of BBC TV's Watch Dog.

Disco 1996 300TDI can I change the speedo dial10 Mar 2006 20:31 GMT1
The Disco I have bought (2.5TDI XS) is a Japanese import and has the speedo
in kilometres - is it easy to change the actual speedo dash to miles, grab
one out of another Disco or buy a new one?
Any help please?

Range Rover Sport alloy wheels10 Mar 2006 08:15 GMT3
If you buy a RR Sport with the "Dynamic" package (containing: Dynamic
Response, Brembo brakes, bi-xenon lights & 20" alloy wheels) can you
still put smaller alloy wheels on it to go off road?
So, are the 18" wheels possible with the Brembo brakes?
DII specs09 Mar 2006 23:53 GMT6
I am sort of considering upgrading the current 96 300tdi to a DII, so
a few questions if I might.
It seems that the facelift appeared Circa 2003. Were there any
mechanical improvements that went with the facelift?
which Disco has central difflock?09 Mar 2006 20:05 GMT12
I am looking at buying a secondhand Disco. The guy at the local 4WD club
told me not to buy a 2002 version as it does not have central difflock
switch. According to him the later and earlier versions do have this.
Can anyone confirm?
New Defender09 Mar 2006 20:03 GMT18
