| RR 1990, engine miss | 21 Mar 2006 15:36 GMT | 4 |
I have a 1990 RR with 3.9 EFI petrol. Every now and then at full throttle when going up a incline or overtaking the engine will suddenly cut out completely. It is not a 'miss' on a few cylinders, it is a total no power.

| Defender buying advice | 21 Mar 2006 10:37 GMT | 6 |
Having had great fun off-roading in the Disco 3 I have finally decided that it is just too damn expensive for regular off-road use, already trashed 2 alloys and several bits of plastic trim which were easily replaced but costly. It is so good off-road that I am going to end up ...

| Towing with my Ranger Rover | 21 Mar 2006 10:02 GMT | 4 |
I have a 2004 Range Rover and am looking at getting an RV trailer. The trailer fully loaded is a max of 7200lbs (3250kg), which is just under what the limit is for this car. My question is, even though it is within the limt, how well with the RR

| Disco 2 Hydraulic Jack seals | 20 Mar 2006 11:26 GMT | 8 |
The under bonnet Jack which came with my Disco 2 has blown the seals (after being used about 5 times) and will no longer raise the car. Anybody know where I can buy a new set of seals for it. The Landrover dealer doesn't service the Jacks, and wants an arm and a leg for a new one.

| wiper/washer switch removal | 19 Mar 2006 23:50 GMT | 13 |
The 101 has a lucas rotating/push switch that controls the wipers and washers - you turn it for wipers and push it in to wash. I presume that series's and RRC's had the same one? I've been stripping the dash ready to tidy it up and rewire and I

| Somewhat OT but good Terrain Response | 19 Mar 2006 14:16 GMT | 5 |
This is an interesting video of a 4-legged robot with terrain response built in. Amazing how advanced these things are nowadays, especially the part where they try to kick it over but it adapts and refuses to fall. It's a bit more human like than I'd prefer :-)
