removing 2.25 block without a crane....30 Apr 2006 21:18 GMT31
Is this possible?  I don't have a crane, and am beginning to think
about doing a full rebuild on the engine.
If I remove as much as I can with it in the car, how much weight is
left?  Could a couple of strong six footers manhandle it out on a
Wish Me Luck...30 Apr 2006 19:50 GMT7
MoT on the Lightweight this morning.
I have a niggling doubt about the brakes -- stops in a straight line but
they feel unduly heavy. Nothing obviously wrong with the servo, but I
wonder if a couple of cylinders are sticking -- one each side.
Crypton Triangle auto-ajusta30 Apr 2006 18:32 GMT1
Bit of a long shot but I have just been given a Crypton Triangle Auto-Ajusta
thing. It is old and has no instructions. Does anyone know where I might
find some instructions for it?
Thanks
cheapest hp for RR Classic 3.9Efi30 Apr 2006 12:43 GMT5
I have upgraded my diffs, brakes and suspension already, leaving the
engine the last bit to do (for safety reasons). I've been thrashing the
hell out of my 3.9 LPG for the past two years and still haven't managed
to break it. But now I'm bored and have around £6,500 in the kitty.
Pics of Land Rover museum I think, and more of pinz30 Apr 2006 10:46 GMT15
Someone at my local club went to some kind of landrover day, includes
new range-rovers and some of the proper machines too, including a
Defender with mattracks on and some very clean 101 shots and a lovely
series 1.  Also some shots of my loverly baby getting mucky.
ROT: Noralsy Door Entry Keypad30 Apr 2006 00:32 GMT4
Has anyone got a manual for a Noralsy Door Entry Keypad?
B'gred if I know what I did with it (been installed for a few years
now).
I've got a new biometric and proxycard system going in and will be
Immobilised TD529 Apr 2006 13:02 GMT5
I recently bought a 110 TD5 and have just put a new gearbox in it.
It now seems to be immobilised (the battery was disconnected).  The
dealer I bought it from is going to get the code from LR, but can some
kind soul tell me what to do with the code - the vehicle came with no
FAQ Update29 Apr 2006 11:17 GMT2
Apologies:
1.  For my absence from the newsgroup over the last year or so.  I started a
new job and it's taken some time to get back into the swing of things.
2.  For the FAQ dying.  My ISP changed their CGI server and didn't tell me

eclipse with low compression29 Apr 2006 08:05 GMT1
I want to know if anyone has experience any thing like this. The engine
was running great at about 65 mph the check engine light started
flashing.  Had it checked out at a repair shop, the engine is said to
have low compression in one cylinder very low at 15psi the others are
Propshaft proper shafted29 Apr 2006 07:58 GMT20
Driving along happily yesterday afternoon in my 1989 90, god awful noise
from underneath, pulled over to the side of the road, looked in wing mirror
and saw a dark object in the road around 30 yards behind me - yep, it was my
front propshaft.
200TDI or 2.5TD?29 Apr 2006 07:41 GMT8
Hi all.  I may be coming back to the fold.  I have between 5K-6K to
replace the Jeep Cherokee with, and am stuck between getting an Isuzu
Trooper 3.1tdi or a 110.  I miss my old 110V8.  Would I be right in
thinking that a 200TDI would be better than the older 2.5TD?  Bearing

Disco vibration under load/acceleration28 Apr 2006 17:09 GMT5
I've got an odd problem at the moment on my Disco, which started at the
same time as I noticed a hole in the exhaust where the bracket behind
the second box had worn through the pipe, but I guess the two problems
are unrelated.
Tax free / exempt. Changing?28 Apr 2006 14:58 GMT2
I've heard that soon cars will be taxed according to their emissions.
Firstly, as I don't own a Landrover (YET), will the tax be high on them?
And secondly, does this mean that Tax free / exempt cars are being scrapped
(not literally).
