perennial grouse re: oil companies 10 Apr 2006 15:53 GMT13
I was surprised a little while ago to find that my former employers ( of
around 30 years ago) had closed the local petrol station. Not really a big
issue as we have a few stations around about so I am not going to struggle
however the knock on effect is they are all Shell ...
New Defender model09 Apr 2006 18:54 GMT13
I have had my Defender Black for three years now and I'm looking to replace
it with a new Defender.  Does anyone here know of Land Rover's plans for a
new model, if any?
I've been told there's a new engine and that possible other changes could be

Saggy P38- diagnosis please?09 Apr 2006 09:01 GMT1
Well, here's a slightly weird one.
'98 4.0L RR is leaking air somewhere. Compressor is running most of the
time, presumably to keep the front up- but that's the weird thing. I's the
whole front axle that has a problem- not just one side or t'other, as has

Mounting winches amidships?08 Apr 2006 16:07 GMT36
Hello all, this is pertinent to a future off-roading plan I have,
either a Landy with Mog or Volvo C303 axles, or a Pinz, or perhaps
both if the money stacks up.
I'd like winches, two, one pulling forwards, one backwards, but I
Thermostat Disco 2.5Tdi 300 series08 Apr 2006 14:39 GMT7

Looking for Home Link08 Apr 2006 14:19 GMT1
This maybe a NA part only. Stanley makes for different auto
manufacturers a system whereby the driver can remotely open the garage
door and turn on the house lights. Does anyone have an extra one or know
where I can get one for a Disco 1?
Spring release NOISE in DISCO ???08 Apr 2006 10:41 GMT7
In our Disco ( 2000 ES SII ) often when we park the car..and are exiting the

First my wife thought i was the sound of air releasing...but I'm almost
Disco bits and bobs07 Apr 2006 19:53 GMT3
A-frame Ball joint on an M reg Disco V8, how easy is this to change??.
Next question may sound a bit daft but bear with me.......
On the bottom of the front springs, should they be flat or does the end
of the coil stick out.  Looked in book for Range Rover and it shows the
Radio Code07 Apr 2006 17:45 GMT8
After much searching I cannot find an answer to this problem.  My wife
left the lights on and eventually the battery died.  After getting the
battery sorted and a call to LR USA I attempted to put the correct code
in one time.  After more research and a return to the car I noticed ...

Waxoyl Bulhead etc07 Apr 2006 17:32 GMT3
Having just bought a Defender 2003, I would be interested in any advice
with Waxoyl. The chasis has been done and a very thorough job. However
I would like to Waxoyl the Doors, Bulkhead and other sections.
What are the best ways to get wax into the bulkhead, should I drill it
