rattle from below!02 Apr 2006 08:50 GMT5
My high cap 130 TD5 has this rattle (sounds like spare change in a tin) at
exactly 83km/h. I have wrote about this a while back in this forum but in
the meantime I have checked all the heatguards around the exhaust and could
not find anything. Just recently I made a new ...
TD5 oil change intervals02 Apr 2006 00:29 GMT1
Is anyone else concerned about the 20'000km oil change intervals on the TD5
engines. Also the filter only gets a swap every 60'000km! I know it has the
additional centrifugal filter and the manual says so, but it still scares
the hell out of me!
Difflock01 Apr 2006 19:33 GMT1
When I use the transfer box I can get the high and low ratios in locked
and unlocked.  However in "locked" the light on the dash does not always
illuminate.
Any suggestions where to look, what to prod, or what to oil!

It appears genuine and anything that saves me a few pence per litre for no
additional cost to me would be welcome

Anyone know if you can convert the centre lap belt on a P38 to a proper lap
and diagonal job and if so is there a DIY kit?
110 seat replacements01 Apr 2006 11:48 GMT3
After 220,000 miles, the seats in my 110 are looking the worse for wear.(You
can't get the build quality these days, can you!) Does anyone know if it is
possible to fit seats from a Disco or Range Rover Classic without major
modifications, as my wife keeps making noises about ...
Bad starter P3801 Apr 2006 10:50 GMT5
1997 2.5DT, new glowplugs, always used to start straight
away from cold, now i have to crank it over a few times
before it fires up. Any common thing to look at?
Really annoying.

Disco I, 1995 vintage.  The self-park on the wiper has gone flaky, which
also affects the intermittent wipe...  I've not looked yet but I'd bet on
the parking switch on the wiper motor, or possibly a wiring fault.
If it's the former, can the switch be replaced by itself or is it new ...
