I am seriously tempted by a 4.0 P38 going at a very reasonable price.
Is anyone running on LPG at the moment and can give me any idea of
running costs please??

Well having missed out on the Shakespere weekend I've found myself trawling
for venues for October (bored silly - every one else is in bed asleep .. I
love shiftwork NOT)

My 2000 Td5 Defender keeps blowing the No 11 Fuse. This is a 10A fuse
and all it does is feed the LH Side light, LH Rear light and number
plate light.
The problem is not a straight short because Ive replaced it again this

Have tweaked my fuel pump as has been suggested.
What about turning up the boost slightly on the turbo - don't want to go too
far.
How do I go about it - I know bugger all about diesels - always been a V8

I'm going to treat the Disco to an early oil change ( pleased to have got a
deal on 5 galls of  TD oil for about what halfrauds charge for 1 gall thank
you Unipart ) I can't recall the advice to prevent the turbo getting starved
anyone help?

Thought I would ask here before anything else.......
On the auto box on my 300tdi disco there is a big metal pipe that comes out
the bottom of the box just behind the bell housing and it is leaking at a
rate of 1 drip every second!

I bought a Series 3 landy on ebay a few months ago and have had loads
of problems with it. Now the clutch pedal has no feel to it and I got
no clutch. Looking underneath I see the clutch slave cylinder is
wrapped with insulation tape and is leaking. Anybody changed these

Can any electronics whizzes help me out with a simple design for a
tachymeter to display the RPM of a propshaft?
I'm looking to monitor the output of my rear PTO so it does not over-rev
while negotiating rough terrain - mostly a creek bed I have to drive through

Just looked at a Range rover with a Daihatsu turbo diesel conversion -
owners not sure on the cc, recons it might be a 2.8ltr.
The only identifying plate says 'DL - 50' on the side of the rocker cover?
What do you think?

I had a bit of a panic after work tonight in my '99 RR.
Remote would not work at all, I unlocked the driver's door and opened it -
it bleeped of course and when trying to start the engine I got the "Engine
Disabled" message.

This has to do with my Disco. It's Oxford Blue, will be having an ARB
bumper/winch installed this summer as well as a different rear bumper.
I'll be mounting a HF antenna on the front bumper and inside will be an
ICOM IC-7000 HF/VHF/UHF radio.

Found the source of my water loss, the heater matrix o rings are leaking water into the car. You can see
the drops of coolant just under the heater foot vent. This is giving some comfort as it is very common &
my friendly LR mech reckons the engine should be fine as the age & ...

next question is will a 2.5 td out of a defender fit on to the box ? if
not how much would a tranfer box be to fit at lt77 box
the reason for this is i have been offerd a good 2.5 td and lt77 box
