P38 Bilstien Dampers - Good buy indeed13 Apr 2006 15:43 GMT1
Just done the dampers on my P38 for Bilstiens. Wow!! They make a huge difference to handling etc. The
easiest job I have ever done on a Land Rover too. Jacked air susp up to high, opened tailgate to stop it
dropping, got me spanners out & didn't even have to take off the wheels. ...
Ebaylish spoken here13 Apr 2006 11:55 GMT75
In my quest for an inexpensive Disco I realise that some terms used in
auctions do not translate directly into english "as she has spoken" so I
offer a few and invite you to add some pithy descriptions you may have
found.
back seat space Defender 11013 Apr 2006 10:18 GMT2
this summer I'll be travelling to Namibia, and I think it would be
great to rent a Land Rover Defender including camping gear. We are with
4 persons, and we are quite tall, approximately 2.00m. Therefore, I
would like to know if the back seat of the Land Rover Defender provides
fairly rusty door bolts13 Apr 2006 08:05 GMT14
i bought replacement screws for all my hinges, and some of the old ones
won't come out.  the bonnet screws went on nicely and i'm glad i did it
as some of the old screws broke as i was unscrewing them!   i know
others have posted the same question, and the obvious answer is to
Does being famous make a defender/90 worth more?12 Apr 2006 20:10 GMT8
I own the red Landrover 90 that was owned by Hugh
Fearnley-Whittingstall (River Cottage) and used in some of the TV
series.
I won It in a raffle that River Cottage Held.
Range Rover classic grille.12 Apr 2006 19:05 GMT3
After purchasing myself another Rangey recently, I now need to find a later
type horizontal bar grille for my mates 86 Classic.
Anyone got one they don't need?

Freelander issues11 Apr 2006 19:44 GMT1
Posted:  Apr 11, 2006 1:17 PM
I've had a couple problems pop up in the past week or so on my '03
Freelander HSE. I wondered if any of you have had these problems or
could tell me what to expect to get them repaired...
101 Gearboxes (LT95)....11 Apr 2006 19:42 GMT9
burrt has a gearbox fault on 2nd gear.  Going up the box is fine,
coming down it is impossible to select.
Towed a trailer to Towcester, and was able to get 2nd coming down the
box a fair bit of the time.
Klaxon11 Apr 2006 19:20 GMT22
Thought you all should know what my newest accessory going onto the Series
is - it's just arrived from Klaxon, and I'm just trying to work out how to
mount this monster under the bonnet. It's going to the left of the engine,
with the trumpet below the radiator overflow so that ...
You want HOW much ?1*?!!11 Apr 2006 13:17 GMT28
Exhaust manifold to downpipe stud 300TDI - STC3159.
Answers on a postcard please - your guesses will be way off track!
Needless to say the dealer was told what he could do with them.
(Richard will, no doubt, tell you the list price later.)
Windshield Wipers stuck in the middle of the windshield11 Apr 2006 10:28 GMT3
I have a 1996 4.0 and I have just started experiencing a problem with the
windshield wipers. They work, however when you turn them off they stop to
rest in the middle of the windshield. It's very annoying and looks
ridiculous. Before I spring for a new motor, I thought someone ...
Hiring a car trailer?11 Apr 2006 10:08 GMT30
In contrast to the header, I am considering buying a car trailer big enough
to take a Land Rover. (Capacity around 2.5 tonnes).
My reasoning is that I need a "new" Land Rover and will require the means
to collect it. That means two drivers, or hitch-hiking, training, busing,
Range Rover Classic starting and heater (was Help! Disco II stranded in Czech Republic)11 Apr 2006 00:05 GMT5
Fist an update on the Disco. It's still in CZ, sitting in the Land Rover
dealer waiting for some parts to arrive so they can reassemble the heads,
after which we'll know if it was just the heads or a block problem, so
fingers crossed!
Towcester thingy10 Apr 2006 16:21 GMT2
