I want to replace the oil seal on the rear output shaft of the transfer box on my 86" series 1. Looking at it there apperars to be a number of shims between the speedometer housing and the transfer box itself. The manual says for the end float on

I am about to replace the clutch plate on my 1955 series 1, 2l petrol engine. I have it all stripped down and am about to reassemble it all. However the parts book and manual show a small pinion bush part no. 08566. I don't seem to have this or at least I haven't seen it fall off ...

I've just got myself a Dakar 4x4 (www.dakar4x4.me.uk) that needs some cosmetic work doing to it. One of the jobs is a bit of tidying up the front bull bar. It's a welded and plastic coated jobbie at the moment.

Ok this is a really daft question but Im sick to the back teeth of my 2T jack thats not tall enough. At the moment I have to use a jack and block of wood - which aint great!

my disco MPI start to got this problem seen i bought it 8 month ago, at the begining it only happen when changing from N to 1st gear, hard to get it engage during the car still in move,and you can heard the gear engaging crash sound, but is good when the car is still.

Ive just bought a 1990 Defender 110, but the rear wiper and washjet are not working. When I turn the knob on the dashboard nothing happens, but if I push the button I hear the motor wizz, again with no affect. Is there someway to see where exactly the problem lies without

All, I have a Y reg 110 and one of the very few things I miss in it is the central locking (so useful with kids). Has anybody looked at retro fitting one from a more recent 110? What kind of work and price does that involve?
