Leaking heater matrix? Worth trying Radweld or similar?13 May 2006 22:22 GMT4
My 1989 RR Classic is damp under the front floor mats with what feels and
smells like coolant, so I'm assuming I have a slight leak in the heater
matrix (coolant level itself seems to be ok). Any thoughts on trying
something like Radweld until I have time to pull the dash apart ...

Needle scalers for paint removal?13 May 2006 19:03 GMT34
Hello all, I need to get some paint, primer and rust off some old fuel
tanks, shot blasting them would probably cost me about £80 each tank,
but I could probably get a needle scaler and compressor for less than
it'll cost me to get them blasted, would the scaler do the trick?  I'm

Nipped to the breakers yard today...........13 May 2006 17:00 GMT8
For a few bits of trim that autoglass wrecked. Saw 3 P38's & every one was shagged due to an engine fire.
The bloke told me they get loads of them with that. Is he talking crap, or is there something known?

Range Rover tyre sizes13 May 2006 14:27 GMT4
Is anyone using BFG AT 235/85/16 on 16x7 rims on a Range Rover classic with
standard suspension? I've trawled the net and Google groups but could not
find a definitive view on whether they will fit without fouling or not. The
wheel/tyre combination would be going on what was a ...

90 Seat Replacements13 May 2006 08:38 GMT6
Has anyone got any recommendations as to seats that are easy to fit in the
front of a 90? The standard ones are really lumpy and uncomfortable and I
don't fancy shelling out hundreds for Exmoor Trakkers etc. I have seen loads
of articles in mags with different seats including ...
Cooling problems sorted...I hope!!13 May 2006 08:32 GMT2
Some of you may remember the issues I had last year with my RRC overheating.
Back end of last year I replaced water pump, expansion tank cap, head
gaskets, thermostat (88 degree) and viscous unit.  All seemed OK, up until
the warmer weather started to arrive...and the needle was ...
P38 Temperature Display12 May 2006 20:25 GMT2
Just lately the exterior air temperature display has been going haywire
showing anything from -5 to +35. When it displays anything below about
10 the air conditioning will not blow cooled air into the vehicle. I
know that there are a number of temperature sensors controlling the
Buncefield Verdict...12 May 2006 16:14 GMT11
Many questions unanswered, but basically 300 Tonnes of unleaded petrol
overflowed from a tank for 40 minutes.
Mechanical safeguards failed and human error was 'partly' to blame.

RR and battery issue12 May 2006 16:05 GMT6
I added a post a couple of weeks ago regarding a known issue with RR and
things like weather stations turning on relays and draining the battery.
Well, it appears that enough people have called to complain.  A rep from
Land Rover gave me a call today to let me know that there is a ...
Mounting method - 100litre LPG tank on 110 wheelbox12 May 2006 15:21 GMT28
I've got a 100-litre LPG tank that I want to mount on the RH wheelbox,
inside the back of a 110.
Couple of issues:
(i) the wheelbox looks flimsy, considering the wet weight of the tank:
Decided to keep my P3812 May 2006 13:59 GMT2
Bloody Land Rovers!
Having driven the Disco 3 & the debacle at the local LR garage ni though bollocks to it. The P38 drives
very well indeed. It needs two new head gaskets doing, a new front crank oilseal & a few new breather
hoses on the top end. For the sake of £500 I don't want ...
