Biodiesel in a Disco 300 TDi11 May 2006 17:48 GMT8
I am considering running my Disco on Biodiesel.
It's not much cheaper than regular diesel but is supposed to be better for
the engine.
Oh, and the Enviroment.
Anybody want some Bilstien dampers for P38?11 May 2006 09:25 GMT3
I'm just about to part exchange my P38 for a disco 3 (boo hooo) & as only fit the £280 dampers a week ago
they might as well go to someone who needs/wants them. They make a huge difference to the ride/handling.
It's a very simple job & what i would want to happen is said person ...

Thoughts turning again to deep-cycle batteries and associated
paraphernalia - is there a useful resource?  Simply taking a look on /that
auction site/ reveals a wide variety - some aren't even listed with specs.

I was going to drop the EP in the transfer box this weekend provided it
doesn't p*ss down again and while I was visiting the factors I noticed there
is a synthetic multigrunge EP70w95 and not stunningly expensive ( very nice

what does 'tubed' mean om my rims10 May 2006 21:51 GMT2
What does the word 'tubed' on my rims (RR '76) mean? Use inner tubes or

I was out in my 90 driving along a green lane near to my house on Sat night.
It has been really hot here the last few days, then it rained like a bastard
for a few hours. Anyway, whilst travelling along said lane, i braked. Bad
move. The ground was hard, and the grass was like ice. ...
Long range tanks?10 May 2006 21:37 GMT13
1984 110 V8 Station Wagon - what's the easiest/cheapest way of
increasing the fuel carrying capacity?  I was thinking of sourcing some
kind of fuel tank, mounting it in front of the existing tank with some
connecting pipes, so that the level is maintained between the two, so no
Frothy Coolant10 May 2006 16:14 GMT1
Perhaps someone can confirm my diagnosis, 1986 110 CSW, when I stop the
engine, coolant is ejected out of expansion tank tube. I have noticed
small bubbles in expansion tank and after a mile or so coolant is
'frothy'. There appears to be no oil in coolant, or coolant in oil and
Well i didn't think it possible10 May 2006 12:53 GMT11
Went to try buy a Disco 3 today from the local LR dealer, the salesman was a top bloke, sorted what cars
in stock etc, looked my car over, talked money on the car I was looking at. I was after a D3 2.7 TDV6 7
seater auto in grey or green met paint. List price was £32,000, not a ...
