My father-in-law has just come round to tell me that the Discovery is making
an odd noise, so went out to investigate.  Couldn't hear anything so fetched

300 Tdi Disco Tachometer10 May 2006 08:50 GMT11
'96/'97 Disco 300 Tdi manual, Tachometer needle is a little erratic, well,
very erratic, especially at low to medium revs.  ISTR there was a simple fix
for this but googling doesn't seem to reveal it, or maybe my searching
doesn't ... ;)
Bull bar modifications10 May 2006 07:53 GMT3
I found that I couldn't fit my jate rings, bull bar and steering guard
all on the chassis at the same time so the bull bar has temporarily been
removed.  I seem to remember seeing somewhere that you can get drop-down
bull bars that hinge down to carry hay bales or I guess could ...
Blatant plug, again!!10 May 2006 07:40 GMT6
Well the chassis totally failed to sell for £50, so I have relisted it for
99p!
I was pretty sure that it would have been worth at least £50 to someone,
does no one build hybrids anymore?

First home again - drat.  Sorry we missed the visit this morning.
Big thank yous to Graham, Richard and Emma for a brilliant weekend.  The
welcome was great, the craic was excellent and the company superb.  Met a
few old (ish) friends and made a few new ones, just as it should be. ...

As you have to be insured and taxed to use a Byway, does normal car
insurance cover you on a byway?

Mind if I join?09 May 2006 21:09 GMT14
Evening all, Been reading this for a while; mind if I join in? Have a 110 HC

I've just sold my black 2002 130 BHP VW Golf GT TDI and bought my first
Landy. A 2003 defender 90 TD5.  Couldn't really go between any two further
extremes - bags of character! Looks the dogs B******s although I'm still
getting climatised (getting past the motion sickness). Repair ...

get the jack out and find out how it works' I had a flat tyre this morning
and had to change a wheel.
Range Rover won't run - Fuel problem - Please help!09 May 2006 00:02 GMT4
I'm not very good with UK car problems so here is why I am perplexed.
My daughter has a 1988 Range Rover.  The other day, for no apparent
reason, it died in the driveway.  I checked to find no fuel pressure.
I checked the fuse panel.  Nothing blown.  I checked the relay.  It

Fantastic car and great fun but today it rained and yes you guessed it
