I'm about to refit the rebuilt engine in my Range Rover 4.6 HSE. The Exhaust manifolds are the stainless steel tubular type, and these have heat shields on them. They are in two parts which are fitted behind and infront, sort of clam shell like. They're a real pig to remove if

| Disco 2 Auto Transmission | 01 Jul 2006 19:02 GMT | 16 |
Just got my first Auto (Disco 2 TD5 - 2001 MY). On a slope I thought an Auto should not roll back when in 'D' but mine doesn't hold at all. Is this normal or is there a problem? The slope is reasonable but not too steep.

| Ping Dom J | 01 Jul 2006 15:17 GMT | 6 |
There's a car park outside the town walls of Siena in Tuscany which links to the town centre via a huge series of escalators. The top one was not working. Said Di, "Funny if they called Dom J out to repair it." "Nah", said I, "He works for a German company, don't be silly."
