This is the kind of off-road course I'd like..29 Jul 2006 20:32 GMT11

Ignore the vehicles, although it has to be said the humvees are doing
rather well, it's the course I'd like, rock throughout but not massive
boulders and not a patch of mud in sight.  Any like it in the UK that
changing the engine in my rickman ranger from a ford kent to a ford pinto29 Jul 2006 20:10 GMT1
I need to know if a ford pinto engine will fit straight in where a ford kent
came out. Does anybody know what modifications would be needed?
It would be a great help to us in trying to restore our kit to its former
glory :-)

The date as printed on my MOT form is the date the model was first released,
my Series3 was confirmed as being built in August 1974 so no free tax disc
2000 Range Rover County Experience29 Jul 2006 14:46 GMT7
I really enjoy driving my RR.  However, the things that have broken down
seem excessive.  I just wanted to know if I have a lemon or this is
common.  I only drive it on some weekends and it only has about 30,000
miles.
Classic tax28 Jul 2006 18:46 GMT3
Hello every one long time since I posted on here, but I have a question
which is not really land rover but I know lots of you own classic vehicles,
I have a horsebox 7.5ton and its a 1973 Lreg and was wondering if it is tax
exempt as some people have told me it is and some say it ...
Horse Power Units28 Jul 2006 08:31 GMT10
Was trying to compare the Power of the TD5 to the TDV6 Discovery but the
only units I can find differ and wonder how to convert them for a direct
comparrison.
ie TD5 Auto 101kW (137.5PS) against TDV6 189bhp.
Oil change in a 2003 Disco II (US spec V8 engine)27 Jul 2006 16:53 GMT5
Howdy gents --
Bought a used Disco to replace my worn out Range Rover and didn't get
an owners manual.  To my disgust the oil level is about a quart low and
looks awfully dirty, so I have some concerns that the previous
101 Stand Missing at Billing27 Jul 2006 16:48 GMT21
Had a good look round but couldn't find it, then tripped over 6 green
things hiding in the grass :-(
What happened to all the colour - Yellow's, Blues, Oranges, Purples ?
Neil - Bumble bright yellow and black FC101.
Gearbox Temperature27 Jul 2006 08:01 GMT9
How hot should the gearbox and transfer box get? Mine is getting so hot it
is raising the cab temperature, the bulk head is getting hot. Both gearbox
and transfer box too hot to keep your hand on for more than a second. The
handbrake drum is much cooler so doubt that is the source. ...
Historic Vehicle class26 Jul 2006 18:23 GMT12
Just got my Series Three back from its MOT test and computerised printout
shows the year of first use to be 1971 but it's registered in September
1974. If I can prove the age to be 1971 I should be able to get it into the
free "Historic Vehicle" VED class. Yey!

Wanted Series3 steering wheel25 Jul 2006 23:18 GMT29
Fitted my new steering box today and found the splines are different.
The 2a has a straight splined shaft and the steering wheel is held on by
a pinch bolt but the new series 3 wheel is held on by a centre nut and
is a tapered fit.
Classic rangie steering column ?25 Jul 2006 20:55 GMT4

Anyone had one of these, seen one, used one, knows what they're like, how
hard to fit?

We seriously need a new bumper and after the last excursion decided we'd
