I need to know if a ford pinto engine will fit straight in where a ford kent came out. Does anybody know what modifications would be needed? It would be a great help to us in trying to restore our kit to its former glory :-)

| 2000 Range Rover County Experience | 29 Jul 2006 14:46 GMT | 7 |
I really enjoy driving my RR. However, the things that have broken down seem excessive. I just wanted to know if I have a lemon or this is common. I only drive it on some weekends and it only has about 30,000 miles.

| Gearbox Temperature | 27 Jul 2006 08:01 GMT | 9 |
How hot should the gearbox and transfer box get? Mine is getting so hot it is raising the cab temperature, the bulk head is getting hot. Both gearbox and transfer box too hot to keep your hand on for more than a second. The handbrake drum is much cooler so doubt that is the source. ...

Just got my Series Three back from its MOT test and computerised printout shows the year of first use to be 1971 but it's registered in September 1974. If I can prove the age to be 1971 I should be able to get it into the free "Historic Vehicle" VED class. Yey!

| Wanted Series3 steering wheel | 25 Jul 2006 23:18 GMT | 29 |
Fitted my new steering box today and found the splines are different. The 2a has a straight splined shaft and the steering wheel is held on by a pinch bolt but the new series 3 wheel is held on by a centre nut and is a tapered fit.
