Portals again: LRE this month19 Jul 2006 20:43 GMT7
For those contemplating fitting portal axles to a landy, LRE magazine
has a 90 on the cover with portals, I've only seen it on their
website, not seen the mag so don't know how much detail they're going
into.  Looks like 303 wheels from here.
FA: My landy on ebay again19 Jul 2006 13:33 GMT15
It's back on ebay, didn't sell first time, and the 4x4web site has
gotten me nothing but scammers so far.

Camp Site recommendations wanted19 Jul 2006 07:51 GMT1
Does anyone know of any decent camp sites in the Peak district?  By decent I
mean with toilets and showers, but without little green squares of lawn,
"Entertainment" and endless rules.  Any ideas would be welcomed, as we are
planning on heading up there for the weekend and won't ...
replacement oil temp sender and gauge19 Jul 2006 00:14 GMT1
I want a replacement oil temperature gauge and sender for the 101.
I notice that the original sender is on the top of the oil cooler. Is
this hole of a standard size+thread that will come along with a new
gauge?

Word to the wise18 Jul 2006 20:53 GMT83
A previous 'regular' hereabouts, who is legally banned for life from
owning a computer or camera, has just finished their latest 'holiday'
at the expense of taxpayers.
Disco 2 Rear Recovery Point18 Jul 2006 20:17 GMT3
I have just removed the drop plate and arms from the towbar on my Disco TD5
(to improve departure angle) and am now wondering if the 'T' shaped piece
remaining (bolted to the chassis) is strong enough on it's own to use as a
recovery point. If so what should I fit? The two holes ...
Leather18 Jul 2006 14:53 GMT2
Greetings One and All
Gonna have a go at repairing the seam on the leather covered drivers seat
in the Discovery - now that I have sensible info (thanks Derek) it doesn't
seem such a daunting task.
Not all 90 / disco / RR diffs are the same18 Jul 2006 13:13 GMT1
Annoyed,
I bought a "new" diff to go in the trialler working on the knowledge /
advice that the diffs were all the same. They aren't.
I stopped off on the way home last night to slip the new diff in and
Ignition Light - On!18 Jul 2006 11:21 GMT6
The ignition light on my 200tdi 110 stays on whenever the engine is
running.  The landy runs ok and the battery appears to be ok, no loss
of charge.  I have noticed that voltage drops (via dashboard guage)
when I have lights etc on, but only slightly.

Bleeding Clutch Series 317 Jul 2006 21:38 GMT8
Have replaced both slave and master cylinders also the flexible line but
still can't get a firm pedal or the clutch to work. About half a litre of
fluid used! The pedal gets soert of firm over about the last inch of travel.
Any ideas I'm fed up grovelling under the bloody thing!!
Any second hand dealers in this area?17 Jul 2006 21:07 GMT6
I'm looking for a good solid tow vehicle with room in the back, probably a
110 van, and am trying to find dealers within a reasonable distance of Filey
in North Yorkshire. So far I've found P.A. Blanchard & Co in Shiptonthorpe
but they've only got vehicles that are a bit over my ...
