Disco 2 front springs10 Jul 2006 09:21 GMT1
Just fitted the OE Land Rover Warn winch kit to my D2, in the manuals it
says I should consider fitting uprated front coil springs due to the weight
but it doesn't give a part number. Anyone know if such things exist (other
than a dealer part), I have heard of uprated 'police ...

tirfor winches09 Jul 2006 20:06 GMT25
I quite fancy a hand winch to carry in the 101 in case of emergency -
especially if i am going to do a few miles - I dont want to risk

19J (2.5TD) - Power steering: pics please!09 Jul 2006 11:59 GMT1
I'm after a favour from someone with a late 2.5TD 90 or 110 with power

I've finally got round to fitting power steering to my 1990 90, which
originally came with a manual steering box. I've acquired a kit of bits from

Right, got the kin roof panel out - after a lot of trying to remove
screws etc - decided on 'ripping the b*s*a*d out - it does rip well.
I'm now going for gold in the 'Itching for England' having also ripped
out the fibreglass insulation and filled my cheeliebin with it...

P38 Transfer Neutral08 Jul 2006 17:01 GMT11
Reading about selecting transfer neutral with a fuse on a P38, would it
be possible to permanently drive a P38 in transfer neutral & only
select 4 wheel drive by removing the fuse as-and-when required?
Cheers,
Noisy Aircon08 Jul 2006 12:06 GMT14
I've noticed a fairly loud hissing/whooshing sound coming from the dash when
the aircon is on and think I read somewhere that this could be due to the
refrigerant gas level being low? The car has rear aircon too and both
systems work, just concerned that this is too noisy and ...

Not really bothered re school bus, but it struck me after seeing the DVLA
