Freelander: can the doors be locked without activating the alarm?31 Aug 2006 22:11 GMT5
Whenever I leave my (X reg 2000) Freelander for more than 2 weeks (on
holiday etc.,) I always come back to a flat battery, being automatic, this
means my calling the recovery service to start me.
The battery was changed recently (75Ah) still goes flat, is there a way to

Broken  Radius Arm Bracket31 Aug 2006 16:00 GMT3
Whilst replacing the bushes on the front of my Disco, I found the source of
the mystery clonk I have had for the last 6 months.
One of the brackets which the front radius arm attaches to, has broken.

Take a look at this for a giggle.

Headlight units - late Defender31 Aug 2006 15:32 GMT6
I have a 2004 Defender Td5, and when I first started driving it, found the
headlights very inadequate. I made considerable improvements by fitting
relays, upgraded wiring, and more powerful bulbs, but still find that the
light pattern of the standard Wipacs is pretty poor in ...
Alternator W and B+31 Aug 2006 15:22 GMT16
Replacement alternator for Morph arrived today.
This one has the same connector (where the three leads go in) but also has
two additional stumps which didn't feature on the old unit.
They are marked B+ and W.  I'd guess one is for a rev counter but can any
Wiring Gremlins! Help please.31 Aug 2006 12:12 GMT9
The problems all started when I unscrewed the instrument panel to get
access to my heater switch to clean them out a load of cr@p that had
accumulated there.  I didn't detach any of the wiring I just pulled it
out slightly.
200tdi Miles per Tank31 Aug 2006 12:09 GMT8
Evening

My 90 has just done 250 on the 1st tank after the roll. It smokes a
little white on starting from cold, and it smoke a bit of black under
Re: Yahoo,no more oil crisis30 Aug 2006 22:12 GMT1
I note in this post a very politicaly incorrect remark about our oil
producing friends.

Freelander speed bump thunk30 Aug 2006 17:41 GMT2
We get an alarming thunk/bang when going over a relatively mild speed bump
in our FL at anything over 10 mph. It's a shallow concrete hump across the
road and it sounds like the car is bottoming out or something although the
hump is nowhere near high enough for that!
Interesting............30 Aug 2006 11:49 GMT16
Interesting article, though LR and Jags profit levels seem to
have swapped over!

Jag and/or LR back in private (sensible) hands - could be good.....
Series 2a Towing Weights (Previous threads notwithstanding! :-)30 Aug 2006 10:44 GMT16
I have read and digested many of the old threads on this subject here,
some of which became rather acrimonious! So I'll keep it simple and I
don't think this question has been asked.
Please no input about tachographs / trailer brakes / driving licenses,
Rough running Tdi30 Aug 2006 08:22 GMT12
Just returned from a 3,200 mile round-trip of Europe.  Serviced the '97
Disco Tdi (180,000 miles on it) before leaving.  Running rough and faltering
for the last couple of hundred miles.  Fuel consumption spot-on expectation
(~500 miles/tank).  Starts easily. No smoke or foul ...
