Hi, that time of year has come round again.  I am looking for ideas on
cheaper insurance for a 110 Defender 300tdi with winch,lights,harnesses,
snorkel and roofrack, the usual modifications.  I have two years no claims
and just hope there might be someone out there that could ...

I recently had a stone puncture the air com condenser rad at the front and
lost all refrigerant. Just waiting to get rad replaced and re-gassed. In the
mean time with A/C OFF and air flow direction button used, set at LO on both

It appears more or less a simple mechanism: a plastic fan screwed to
the metal BBQ grid, a sensor in line in the top rad hose (ie the hose
coming from the rad has been cut and the sensor fitted between the two
halves) and some wires sourcing power and ground somewhere.

I have had some overheating problems lately on my '99 Disco2, and
prior was having sporadic interior heat fluctuations. Sometimes I
couldn't get any heat at any settings.

The handbbok for my Disco gives a toe-out tolerance measurement from 1.2 to
2.44mm.

Was on the way into work in my Golf, on a dual carriageway at about
70mph. A blue series 2 disco sped past me in the outside lane. God knows
what went though my head, but i thought i'd investigate. Followed it for

Would EP90 leaking from the rear hub indicate that both the inner and outer
hub seals (and seal track spacer ?) would require replacing?

... reading about them has obviously worked it's charm!  Found out today
that the Mrs. is expecting number 6 (unless it turns out to be twins).
Early days yet, but I'll have to get the other pair of lap belts fitted

Some advice if I may, I recently had major problems with my 1986 2.5
NAD which involved replacing all 4 pistons. Sadly my repair did not fix
the vehicle, and I ended up taking it to a local mechanic who, after
