I have just been having a quick read, for fun, of the "Allegiance against
urban 4x4's". They are selling / downloading official looking parking
tickets which state that you are driving a very unfriendly car, (this is not
an exact quote) etc etc. I was wondering if I found one of ...

Wings and Spot Welding31 Oct 2006 21:03 GMT27
Is the rear section of the wings spot welded to the bulkhead? If not , what

with wings already fitted?
thanks in advance

A draft discussion document is reportedly floating around concerning
whether there's merit in developing a Chinese assembly plant for new
Land Rover products, including Freelander[1] and Range Rover Sport.
This follows further unconfirmed reports that plans to pull out of
Small Boast31 Oct 2006 10:48 GMT5
I'm a bit of a weekend mechanic (although I also build 7.25" steam
locomotives as a hobby),  so a couple of weeks ago, putting a new
crossmember (with extensions) on the Defender 110 CSW was more than I
had done in a while.
King Pin or Swivel Pin31 Oct 2006 09:43 GMT7
At Reggies MOT, whilst my welding was OK,  I have an advisory on the
Front Nearside "King Pin or bush".
As I said in an earlier post I am a weekend mechanic!
Now my Rover P4 110 has "King Pins" however with the Land Rover having a
Smiths Oil Pressure Gauge help please  - S3 2.25 petrol31 Oct 2006 07:26 GMT2
S3 2.25 petrol. I have got a smiths oil pressure gauge. I would guess
the sender /switch has gone as it reads max when ignition is on and
zero when switched / disconnected. Question is where can I get a new

I was dirving home with a trailer yesterday and I found that I had

Bloody French regulations30 Oct 2006 21:03 GMT13
I've just found out that I can't fit my own gas conversion :(  Cheapest
quote so far is €4000 plus tax (about £3000 all told).  Makes the
payback time less convincing..
Thank you, French bureaucracy!

P38a EAS rechip saga30 Oct 2006 14:13 GMT2
I'm getting on with my little project to make my EAS work by replacing the
computer (after two and a half years of the dealer phoning Land Rover for
help) and it's beginning to work quite well but, before I drag the logic
analyser out to the car, I though I'd ask if anybody knows ...
