I had a wheel alignment done on my wifes TD5 Discovery .  The data I have
for it states.

Breake grease - same name for copper grease ?26 Oct 2006 22:41 GMT16
I have to replace a caliper of the brakeclaw.
In the manual, they mention something like brake grease to help assembling.
Today, i recieved a back issue of LRO (october issue).
On page 199, there is a workshop about changing the brake pads.
Diesel emissions and additives26 Oct 2006 22:38 GMT6
I have been told that if I add petrol to the tank of my diesel engine
it will reduce the exhaust emissions for test purposes.  Is this true
and if so how much petrol would I need to add.  If not is there such an
additive that would achieve the same result.
MOT test and Hand Break26 Oct 2006 20:19 GMT37
How is the hand break tested in other Countries.   Here in Ireland, the
last time I went, they drove the Range Rover and pulled it on.  If the
contraption they had installed on the floor registered the correct
reading all was ok. If not it failed.  No mention of the transmission

After performing various diagnostics. I determined that the starter needed
overhaul/replacement. I opted for the replacement. I ordered and received my
new "Mean Green" starter.
Thunder Racers26 Oct 2006 14:10 GMT11
Don't know if you lot have seen the latest addition to the scrap-yard
build-it-in-a-hurry type programme, but thunder racers isn't too bad
and has Rachel Simmonite on it, landy racer extraordinaire.  Also the
next episode is about making vans into off-roaders with 6-foot wheels
101 Exhausts.25 Oct 2006 23:26 GMT56
Morph is making his usual protest, just been adjusting the brakes and
noticed the tail pipe has rotted all the way through. I may be able to bodge
a new end on but no doubt it's now on borrowed time.
Who's replaced and with what? What sort of money and is it any good or would
Indicator cancellation25 Oct 2006 23:17 GMT3
The self cancelling mechanism on my indicators has failed. It probably works
1/25 times and quite often clicks the indicators off while going round a
roundabout (as if it has somehow misaligned and thinking that when the wheel
is at 180 degrees its time to click-off)
Paint25 Oct 2006 23:01 GMT1

I want to re-paint the rear of the inside of my 90 - nothing fancy, just
a brush or roller - Hopefully cheaper than a load mat....
Does anyone know of an on-line supplier of paint? Its Epsom Green - i
Loctite equivalents?25 Oct 2006 19:40 GMT23
Wotcher all, not strictly landy, but I have a need for "loctite 636"
and/or "loctite 307", I don't know what they are but they appear to be
metal glues or threadlock/nutlock.  Does anyone know what they are,
what their equivalents are or whether they're likely to be nutlock or
300tdi fuel problem25 Oct 2006 18:49 GMT2
300 Tdi Defender  90 1998  95000 miles
2 minor problems which I don't think are related.
1.  Small diesel leak from the rear of the fuel injection pump, I thought it
was a banjo bolt, which I removed and replaced the copper washers, but there
101 spotting25 Oct 2006 10:50 GMT7
Saw a very smart 101 trundling towards B&Q in Stoke on Saturday which is the
first one I've seen on the road for ages. And then today saw another one
just outside Nottingham. Are they breeding?
