Lumpy steering!21 Oct 2006 15:04 GMT10
Having been really pleased with myself for fitting power steering to my 1990
90, some of the shine has started to wear off.
Over the past couple of weeks, the steering has gone from being smooth and
effortless to being distinctly 'lumpy'. As you turn the steering wheel from

Battery negative wire21 Oct 2006 12:19 GMT11
I suspect the arrangement of battery negative wire on my 109 (12V negative
earth petrol) isn't as it was intended, there is a wire from the battery
terminal to the bolt on the side of the engine that holds the bracket for
the crank case breather, and nothing apparent linking the ...
Disco 2 wipers21 Oct 2006 10:25 GMT1
Just tried to purchase a RHS wiper blade for the Disco, but both the
Halfords own and the Bosch are too wide in the middle to accept the clip
that attached to the wiper arm.  The OE blade has a very narrow centre
section.  Do I have to order one up from a main dealer, or is there ...
Series 2 Club forum20 Oct 2006 22:22 GMT2
Does anyone from this group read the S2C forum?  Having posted stacks of
stuff there when I was sorting the S2a, I now find that my account has been
cancelled and I don't exist!  Forum admin isn't answering his emails.

will not get another one until I go round a left hand corner no mater
how many right hander i take after that , I also get no clonks or bangs

Have I missed any mention of this on the ng?
I'm a newbie for this event - is it worth the journey?

FREELANDER REAR BRAKES STICKING20 Oct 2006 17:47 GMT5
My 2001MY Freelander has a nastly little habit when parked with the
handbrake on after heavy rain/pressure washing.  The rear brake shoes
appear to stick to the drums, and a little rocking backwards and
forwards is required the next morning to free them off (with a loud
idle stepper motor20 Oct 2006 15:00 GMT5
on a 3.5 hotwire disco V8
Anyone had any joy with lubricating these?
It seems as though the one on the V8 here is a bit lazy - it does respond to
increased engine load, but not as fast or as much as I'd expect.
Diesel Injector Pump20 Oct 2006 13:36 GMT3
I have been informed that my injector pump on my '86 110 N/A County is
on its last legs, I've seen a few 2.5TD Injector pumps on ebay, anyone
know whter these are the same ones? I have the 'DPS' type apparently.
Alternatively, anyone know of someone breaking a 2.5 N/A engine? Having

since i've had it.the gauge would only read either full or empty or when
the

Going soft19 Oct 2006 23:55 GMT4
Hi, can anyone point me in the right direction for instructions on how to
install a soft top on my series 1 . I`ve got all the bits including the
`sharks tooth` but my screen top isnt drilled and I`d like to get it right
first time rather than bodge it .
Water in Driver Footwell19 Oct 2006 23:25 GMT9
Disco Series II V8i 2002:
Intermittent (and so far untraceable) water leakage into the driver (RHD)
footwell is becoming exasperating!   I just can't trace it, and hesitate to
rip out all the centre console and carpeting etc.
