1995 Disco series 1 fuel leak05 Dec 2006 01:01 GMT6
Hello all.  The wife's '95 Discovery series 1 has sprung an
intermittant fuel leak.  She told me it was leaking when she topped off
her fuel tank today.  I thought filler hoses -- I checked back up
there, and sure enough it looks like one or two of the hoses are
What is under the bonnet04 Dec 2006 22:20 GMT12
Is there any really simple quick way of seeing whether a Defender has a
200Tdi or a 300Tdi fitted? Better still, is there anything obvious to a
total amateur that shows that it is a Defender rather than a replacement
from a Disco that is in there?
Thread sizes 89 RR ?04 Dec 2006 20:39 GMT2
How do I figure out what thread a particular bolt is ? For example,
the rear bumper captive nuts look like metric ( coarse thread ) but
metric bolts don't fit. I could buy a thread gauge but I thought only
UNF and metric were used.
Is it a bad thing that i drempt my clutch went?04 Dec 2006 19:55 GMT3
Strange dream last night - dreampt the clutch went for some reason! Must

This has got me thinking. The clutch on my 90 is not stiff, but heavier
than i think it should be. My local LR garage drove it a while back and
I got stuck tonight....04 Dec 2006 19:54 GMT21
Well ever so ever so nearly...
Was driving home from work, on a dual carriageway with no hard shoulder.
Mobile rings - To be on the safe side, i thought id pull over and answer
it. Pulled off the road, onto the grass at the side.
Panorama last night04 Dec 2006 18:31 GMT4
Anyone see Panorama last night with the Royal Marines thundering about in
Afghanistan in what looked like two rather nice LWB Hi Caps and something
bigger and more Continental?
Power Steering Box Seal04 Dec 2006 16:44 GMT10
Has anyone any experience of changing the seal on the column input of the
PAS box on a Disco? Mine is leaking and I have ordered a seal kit from
Beam-ends but no idea what sort of job it will be to fit.
Thanks in advance
