| Emissions Problem | 16 Dec 2006 11:17 GMT | 3 |
Have a ARP 3.5 Litre block with a webber carb on it and a high lift cam. Took it in for an MOT and it failed due to emissions. I asked them what they would do to cure the problem they said tune the carbs. As this has a webber on, which is not really tunable with out installing ...

| child seat belt laws and old vehicles | 15 Dec 2006 17:05 GMT | 16 |
This is largely hypothetical, but... Stig is a '58 and therefore has no legal requirement to have seat belts fitted (and indeed doesn't). It is therefore impossible for me to fit an appropriate car seat for Charlotte (aged 3) to sit in.

| Electric seats in 1990 RR Classic | 14 Dec 2006 23:49 GMT | 1 |
The driver's (electric,non-memory) seat base moves happily back and forth, up and down. Things become interesting when altering the lean angle of the back. From upright it reclines evenly on both sides for about 3 or 4 inches (distance travelled by top of seat back), whereupon ...

I am a very proud, new owner of a '72 Lightweight, petrol 24v. Huzzah. Only problem is I'm just learning how much car stuff I don't know, so I will apologise once in advance for the flood to come :) She's just back from the fixers after an interesting electrical saga,

Can anyone help with what to replace the nylon rollers with? I live in Australia and have seen after market aliminium rollers overseas. I am thinking a bearing or similar. I did see a quick fix solution on a land rover site some time ago but can't remember where. The Td5 is a ...

| Rear wiper motor | 13 Dec 2006 23:54 GMT | 5 |
The one on my 1989 T/D 90 has I think gone awol. It only starts if I turn on the switch, get out and nudge the blade - after which it works ok until I next try to switch it on. I suspect I need a new motor but they seem to cost an arm and a leg so I

| RR 89 3.5l EFI Thermostat mod | 13 Dec 2006 19:58 GMT | 3 |
I've just bought a 89 RR, which has turned out to have no thermstat fitted (hopefully this explains the heaters reluctance to work!). I've got a cheapo 'stat from the local parts place but it has no 'jiggle pin'. As getting parts here in the Channel Islands can mean a
