take the head off too? (again!)
2. Can one get to the camshaft chain tensioner to fix/replace it without

My local 4x4 place was very very helpful and tried three different
covers, but none of them fit properly. May be you guys know someone

ignition timing RRC 198809 Dec 2006 21:04 GMT3
Hello group,
I have a 1988 RRC (VIN SALLHAML4EA 333910) 3.5 Efi Auto with engine # 25D127045.
The only problems I have is that I cannot find a definitive answer to the question what the correct ignition timing is for this engine (0° ± 1 or 6° ± 1) and if it is OK to run it on 95 ...
Series 2 - new front axle?09 Dec 2006 18:59 GMT1
Brought Stig home today (Series 2, 88").  He goes well with the new
engine, but the front axle is very noisy.  Swivels are rough, frankly,
and the front axle as a whole looks like it could be the one it left the
factory with 49 years ago.
cross ply tyres09 Dec 2006 16:50 GMT6
I have an odd pair, Firestone 7.50x16 LT and Goodyear 7.50x16 c, of
6ply cross plies with lots of tread. The Michelin 7.50 R 16 XCLs that
my 110 was demobbed with have done a further 80k kms and are looking a
bit low.

How do you find out if it's got one?
I've just been asked if ours has, and while I assume not (M 95 model) it
occurs to me that actually, it could have - unless it went wrong, how would
I know?
