Happy new f**king year.09 Jan 2007 10:55 GMT15
My first day back from my holidays today, great at the best of times.
I'm not a happy bunny though, we have been told that we are not allowed
to park any vehicle overnight at our business centre. I would normally
tell the miserable twats to f.ck off & move premises, but we just
Poor braking on my 96 Discovery08 Jan 2007 18:16 GMT6
I've recently bought a 1996 2.5 tdi Discovery and I'm looking for
advice on the brakes which aren't very good. I've noticed that there's
a hissing sound as the brake pedal is pressed and released - is this
normal? With the engine running and vehicle stationary, when I press
Proper repair manual08 Jan 2007 18:10 GMT10
After special ordering and reciving the Chiltons and Haynes repair
manuals, I have found that the books are not worth the paper printed
on! If I wanted a book on gm or ford (standard pics) I would have
ordered it. Are the books you get in the UK different?? Should I just
ROT - electrical sockets and switches08 Jan 2007 16:20 GMT7
As part of our extension we are completely rewiring the house.  I'm
about to order 50-odd double sockets and associated gubbins from
Screwfix.  I have a choice of all the usual suspects - MK, Volex,
Crabtree etc.  They are all white with 3 holes in them...

Disco ECU comms08 Jan 2007 09:00 GMT4
I posted the following on uk.d-i-y with some excellent suggestions
resulting. I'm going to have to spend some time on the beast when I get
a dry day. However it occurs to me there may be someone on this group
who can offer some personal experience of the problem. At the moment I
110 brake pad replacement08 Jan 2007 00:44 GMT1
Oh dear me (or words to that effect) - changing a puncture today it became
clear I've got to change the front brake pads.  On the o/s wheel the inboard
pad is worn more than the outboard one, any suggestions why - both seem to
be moving?  Second question; how easy is it to get ...

Why didn't airbag go off on '03?07 Jan 2007 19:27 GMT8
Had a pretty bad wreck the other day and the airbag didn't go off causing me
to have major bruising (black and blue) on my chest/breast area.  The other
cars airbag deployed.  My front brush guard caused the most damage and the
front area is pretty much in need of replacement.  It ...

P38 LPG Kit06 Jan 2007 21:35 GMT14
Has anyone got experience of BiGas Sequential Gas Injection systems?  I
am looking at the P38 kits on flebay & are quite tempted.
How does this make compare to others quality wise?  Prices seem
comparable to the RPI OVML kit, but that is the older mixer-ring type.
