Defender Doors - Glassfibre/Fibreglass18 Jan 2007 21:28 GMT10
Hi all and a Happy New Year (don't think I have been on since
December!)
I was inspecting my door bottoms today (my 1988 110 CSW is fitted with
those special 'invisible' ones with the rust coloured edges).
[off] sticky woodworking router18 Jan 2007 20:41 GMT2
Can't think of a better informed group to ask:
My little Bosch router is driving me nuts: recently, the plunge part has
started jamming up at crucial moments (i.e. whenever I try to plunge
it). I've cleaned the slides and used fresh engine oil on them (steel
RR Classic locks18 Jan 2007 19:43 GMT8
I have a 1988 Classic with a set of 4 identical locks.  I also have a
1990 Classic with two different locks - the steering lock matches the
tailgate and the door(s) are different.  I say door(s) because I haven't
checked that the door locks are a pair!

Discovery II Sunroof/s leaking.18 Jan 2007 18:29 GMT9
Is this a known problem with this model? I have not had it long
but I've found water pouring down from the roof-lining and down
the rear-view mirror onto the dashboard and the radio, - and also
pouring down the inside of the tailgate door. It seems as if the

Disco 2 alarm18 Jan 2007 18:25 GMT7
Anyone any ideas?
The alarm kept going off in the car park at work today.  I went out and shut
it up, then checked all the doors and windows - nothing open or unusual, no
wild animals in the inside.  Never happened before.  When I came to lock it

R380 / LT230 gear/transfer box17 Jan 2007 19:20 GMT6
I'm planning to exchange the old and tired LT95 gearbox of my RRC with a
R380 (short stick 5 speed) with LT230 transfer box.
The set I want to buy is still in a car , so I can make a test drive to
check if it's OK.
Evidence:- Global warming not linked to 4x4's17 Jan 2007 19:13 GMT5
Having been walking to school to collect the kids for the last few weeks,
I've just driven to get the kids in the 4x4 because for the last 2 days it's
been freezing on the playground waiting for them to come out.
I was hoping the use of the 4x4 would warm things up but alas not. ...
Range Rover Brakes17 Jan 2007 08:18 GMT4
RR 2002, had a brake pad warning came up and the "eba" lamp went from
amber to red at about the same time. Have changed the front pads and
also had to change the "pad" sensor due to damage. However the eba lamp
still remains on red. Anybody have any ideas what may have happened?
