Instrument lights on the Disco 111 Jan 2007 20:00 GMT3
Any suggestions on how I might take the dashboard apart to replace the
lights on the instrument cluster on a Disco 1.  Is there an easy way or
must the whole dashboard come apart to replace them
Thanks
Ashes to ashes, Landie to rust.11 Jan 2007 09:40 GMT6
I've been thinking that I need some advice on the next stage with this
1992 Defender.
The chassis seems OK, but the plan is to get the rear cross member and
the two top corners under the windscreen replaced sometime in the first
MIG recommendations please10 Jan 2007 23:16 GMT18
I consider myself to be a competent operator of an Arc welder.
However even at low settings it cannot handle panel metalwork (eg footwell )
on my RRC so I think I should take the plunge and get a MIG but I have never
used one so far.

The 101 has its MOT booked for tommorrow morning. I have just been out
doing the final touches and testing things and found that my rear fogs
have somehow stopped working in the last couple of weeks.
I've done some quick testing and it is the main feed wire which doesnt
computer not activating fuel pump in Disco??10 Jan 2007 17:25 GMT9
My '97 Discovery stopped running yesterday.  Engine just died.  Would
restart and run for 5 or 10 seconds then die again.  Starter would not
immediately turn over if you tried key immediately after engine stopped.
You have to wait a few seconds.  Local garage says the computer ...
Thats that then, ffs.10 Jan 2007 10:51 GMT13
Twat at work aint interested, they just want everyone out of an
evening. No real explanation, it 'insurance' related.
So, I need to downsize & quick. I'm a lot cheesed off about it.
A 101 is just not a vehicle you can keep anywhere. Anyone interested
How heavy?! (overweight new landrovers!)10 Jan 2007 10:32 GMT17
I saw some specs for the new freelander today and noticed that it is
really heavy! These new landrovers make a 101 seem small and light!
stock 101 ambi kerb weight - 1925kg (I put it on a weighbridge!)
LR2 kerb weight - 1770kg
power output FC101 engine09 Jan 2007 16:41 GMT13
Couple of weeks ago I mounted a revised 101 engine in my '81 Rangie. First I
had some problems determining the proper oil level in this engine, has been
solved now.
Done 3000 mls now. Oil consumption 1000 mls/ ltr.
interior cargo length of LR209 Jan 2007 14:55 GMT4
Anyone know the measured length of the inside cargo area of the LR2
with the back seats folded down?
They give cubic volume measurements but that doesn't tell me the length
or width of the inside area.
