Any thoughts on a spring one?
Safari School04 Feb 2007 22:06 GMT7
Has anyone been watching the series at 6.00 on BBC2.  Land Rovers PR people
must be really fed up.  They are using two Defenders and at least one breaks
down every day.

110 bushes04 Feb 2007 20:17 GMT4
The 110 needs a new pair of rear dampers and probably a nearside rear
spring as it is listing. Is it necessary to replace both springs?
Also there is some play in the axle location, power on-off steering
effect has become more than noticeable. Is there a kit of all the
110 V8 niggling problems04 Feb 2007 16:55 GMT2
1) She starts first touch when cold, but cranks forever when warm.  I
just replaced the fuel filter, so it isn't that.
2) the oil light flickers on tickover, even though the oil is midway
between low and high on the dipstick.  Just changed the oil, but was

Evenin' all.
The Rangie obviously thinks that because I have been lavishing
attention on it at the moment, that I really enjoy tinkering about
with it, as it rewarded me today by locking me out. Bastard thing.

Way way OT - AISI 413002 Feb 2007 17:03 GMT5
Does anyone know of any sources of AISI 4130 tube in the
Leeds/Huddersfield areas? Or elsewhere?
A friend of a friend's school project will require some 22-25 mm OD,
0.8 - 1.0 wall tube. Actual dimensions not yet determined.
"Commercial" Disco?02 Feb 2007 09:36 GMT12
Is this really a "Commercial" Disco? eBay item 180080756118
The only commercials I've seen are window-less in the rear and don't
have any seats either.  The owner is insistent that it is a "Commercial"
He says it is 'marked' as a "Utility Model".
Does anyone know if LR body parts take longer than usual to get02 Feb 2007 09:36 GMT2
My LR Disco was in an accident and the body shop has had it for four weeks
and still hasn't started work because they are waiting for 100% of the parts
to come in from LR.  He doesn't want to start job until he has 100% parts.
Doesn't four weeks seem like a long time to have a car ...

DII Rear brakes01 Feb 2007 21:27 GMT2
Recently had the rear discs and pads changed by local dealer. This was
over 2,000 miles ago but the discs are not fully silver. The inside half
of what I'd expect to be swept by the pads is bluey/rusty coloured.
Now I'd expect the pads to take a while to bed in but 2,200 miles ...
Door not locking01 Feb 2007 20:51 GMT4
I've recently bought my Discovery 300TDi. It has five doors with central
locking. The problem I have is that the rear offside door doesn't lock when
I lock the car. I have to manually lock the door before locking the rest
with the keyfob. I stripped off the surround a checked the ...
