| Crossmember: repair or replace? | 19 Feb 2007 23:44 GMT | 10 |
Wotcher all, just checking on something. And posting on-topic for a change too! While trying to re-fit a towbar to the landy, I missed the spanner I was using to undo the nuts and the hammer went through the metal of the crossmember. I prodded around and have found a fair few

it seems that one of the two release cables is losser than the other on my A38, only the passenger side bonnet pin works while the driver side is jammed... tried pushing and pulling on the bonnet, using a wire hanger to pull

May look a stupid question , but after running out of petrol the other day and having to get the 109 up a hill to the petrol station , I had a thought ! . I run a second battery to run a winch , so have a good source of

| We're doomed! | 19 Feb 2007 00:17 GMT | 27 |
Well, it seems there's a new environmental problem hitting the coasts of Dorset, according to my local Dorset County Council's free newspaper. A clip in Private Eye bought it to my attention, and I've just checked the paper itself as I thought they had to be making it

| LPG P38 or TD5 Disco ES? | 18 Feb 2007 20:37 GMT | 7 |
I'm leaning very heavily to a nice later model (2000 ish) P38 Vogue SE with full monty LPG & very low miles. It's one of 150 made too. It's on ebay & looks very nice, the D2 seems a tad old fashioned in my eyes, like the doors are like an old Range Rover.

| Calling our autobox expert | 18 Feb 2007 19:57 GMT | 3 |
Sorry to bother you but would you know a place that would sell me a filter and sump gasket for a Torqueflite 727 transmission? My manual says that a band adjustment should be made at the same time as a filter change - I'm reluctant to do this (even though the book describes

I've just brought a Series III that i now need to haul back to Stafford from North Yorkshire and have been pondering the options. Am i correct to assume that those rigid tow bars are of no use due to the LR being over weight and the fact that it would need to be texed

| LR3 Engine Warning Light | 18 Feb 2007 13:38 GMT | 3 |
My one year old LR3/D3 doesn't get to do many long trips, just a lot of short ones in (sometimes) deep snow. Last week the engine warning light came on when going up a hill on the longest run it's had for some time. It's filled with premium fuel and, yes, the fuel cap is screwed on

| Infuriating ABS system | 18 Feb 2007 02:53 GMT | 1 |
Can anyone explain how an ABS system works on the Disco 1? What prevents the ABS system kicking in when the vehicle is stopped or going so slow as to be nearly stopped? The reason I ask is because the system in mine is intermittently
