| Am I right in thinking that G reg WAC plates might be something special? | 09 Feb 2007 22:12 GMT | 2 |
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320078868600 Is that why, while nice, it has no LPG cert, but the bidding has gone a bit silly on it two days before the end? Looks really tidy. But are they so special?

| RR newbie question three: tool kit | 09 Feb 2007 20:09 GMT | 10 |
If you were starting out on basic car maintenance, what tools would you buy first? Which tools would you economise on (i.e. boot sale purchase) and which would you go for top quality on?

| Hello from RR newbie and question one | 09 Feb 2007 19:49 GMT | 8 |
I'm the proud new owner of an L reg 200TDi classic, and I expect I'll be back with one or two questions over the coming weeks and months. I'm no mechanic (a bad start perhaps?) but I've been tinkering with one or two bits and pieces of routine maintenance.

| P38 wheel alignment woes | 09 Feb 2007 11:03 GMT | 18 |
The passenger front tyre has feathered badly, drivers' side less so- after only 30k's. One 'expert' told me that 'they all do that'. Has this been your experience? The drag link has wear, I'll replace it & have an alignment done after

| Power loss when cold | 09 Feb 2007 09:37 GMT | 12 |
1996 Disco 300TDi ES, high mileage. Very sluggish and smokey when cold but performs faultlessly when warm. I've toyed with a couple of ideas, could it be injectors or turbo for example. Am I missing anything simple though, is there a temp sensor somewhere?

| RRC - removing wooden insert from top of gear slector | 09 Feb 2007 08:23 GMT | 45 |
Question says it all really: 1990 RRC Auto with an excess of wooden trim. Rather than a nice easy 'gently prise front and rear with scewdriver' bit of plastic trim on top of the gear selector there is a highly polished and undoubtedly

My 1976 RR has an automatic transmission. Not originally and not from Range Rover. Probably from another British car using the V8. I have placed some pics on the internet. Would you mind taking a look? Maybe someone overhere can help me identify the AT.

| 90 110 Mirror arms. | 08 Feb 2007 11:26 GMT | 3 |
Will be doin some towing of the Caravan with the 110 in the future, Now while the Disco mirrors will do when we use that when they have extensions on they are far superior, especially on the European continent. The 110 looks narrower, so I guess it's going to be worse. Did I dream ...

| Discovery TDI300 overheating | 08 Feb 2007 02:00 GMT | 11 |
My 1997 Discovery TDI300 (235,000 km) occassionally overheats - this usually occurs on very hot days (35C +) when loaded and pushing along at 110 km/h or faster with the A/C on. The temperature gradually rises from the halfway mark, where it normally sits, and creeps up. This
