| 200Tdi into 1984 110 to replace 2.25 diesel | 15 Mar 2007 13:50 GMT | 4 |
Done some searching on this, but can't find an answer. How easy is it to replace a 2.25 diesel engine with a 200 (or 300) Tdi - assuming I can find a suitable motor? Ta. Stuart

| Santana | 15 Mar 2007 11:09 GMT | 6 |
Just seen a strange vehicle parked across the road from my house. It looks like a re-styled defender and it says "santana" on it. Is this a Land Rover product or a modifed defender? Thanks

| Disco 2 coil conversion | 14 Mar 2007 19:44 GMT | 25 |
SLS has given up and Disco is on its bump stops at the rear. Dealer thinks it is "probably" the valve block (tested and SLABS ECU showing no faults). Famous Four will do me a new valve block for GBP132, and apparently it's an easy fit. On the other hand, I can get a coil spring ...

| Really odd clutch thingy! | 14 Mar 2007 18:02 GMT | 4 |
On my DiscoII diesel the clutch seems fine around the city, even running around for half a day. But, take it on the highway for an hour, about 100km and when you slow down the clutch is really soft and releases too soon. A bit of driving around and gear changing and it comes good ...

| 101 film prop (from ebay) | 14 Mar 2007 09:54 GMT | 32 |
I collected the Giant wasp and trailered it the 150 miles back to Kent yesterday. Although it had been running before the seller could not currently get it to run and offered to help load on to the trailer. But I pointed out

| I think this guy might be hoping a bit. | 14 Mar 2007 08:34 GMT | 14 |
http://smallr.com/21i I asked if he had a buy now price in mind, seeing as it is right round the corner from me, and he said he would sell for £1000. Since then, he has added the bit about the auto box problems.

| Michelin or Pirelli tyres | 13 Mar 2007 22:55 GMT | 4 |
Hi, i have to renew the tyres of my RRC 91. I heard that Michelin Synchron or Pirelli Scorpion S/T are the best match. I drive almost always on tarmac and seldom on dirtroads, till now never in mud terrain. Advice wanted, which one to choose.

| D2 battery | 13 Mar 2007 22:51 GMT | 18 |
FFS, it didn't want to start again today, took it to my local LR wizard, only to find it has a battery from a ford fiesta fitted ffs! Needs a sh.t hot battery apparently, thought it looked a bit small.

| Heeeeelp! Starter solenoid wiring in 200 TDI conversion | 13 Mar 2007 18:05 GMT | 4 |
Marge, formerly a TD, now has an ex-Disco 200 TDI, fitted at Christmas by the local specialist (and not a bad job either). The cables to the starter ended-up between the exhaust manifold and the downpipe - not ideal, but presumably much the same as on the Disco it came from.

| Any Land Rover 110 experts - project looming... | 13 Mar 2007 08:46 GMT | 21 |
Afternoon all, Am probably looking months if not years ahead here, but i am still mourning the selling of the 90 a couple of years ago. I've given myself plenty of time to get over it but it's still not happening.

| Warning lights on a Disco 2 | 13 Mar 2007 06:01 GMT | 2 |
I have a Disco 2 "W" reg and today for the second time in a month I had 3 pings and the ABS, TC and SLS lights came on and stayed on. I stopped the car switched on and they all stayed off. The brakes seem OK and I went in a muddy area to test the TC and that seems

| Need some LPG advice. | 12 Mar 2007 23:34 GMT | 4 |
I'm considering a Range Rover Vogue SE 3.9 EFi that has an LPG system installed, but the switch over control has failed. I've been told the system installed is a Lovato system but I can't find too much info on them. Are spares for this system easy to get hold of,

Does anyone know if you can siphon diesel from a modern car? Ive filled a hire car up to the top, and not used it - As it only had a 1/4 tank in it when i got it, im reluctant to send it back full!
