Due to pick up a 1997 Disco 1 V8 on Monday, only fault is that the drivers electric window doesn't move, I can hear the motor whirring though. Is it likely to be an expensive repair and is it easy to do as DIY? Andy

For those of us that aren't diesel just heard that there is a problem with Morrisons and Tesco's unleaded petrol in some parts of the UK. Causes false reading by the oxygen sensor and the engine shuts down. Hundreds of people are affected so far.

When I drive off from cold in my '96 Disco with 94k miles, it's difficult to move the gear-stick between gears. As the engine warms up the gear-stick becomes easier to move but then there's a slight crunching of gears as I change. Is this because the synchromesh baulk

INTERMITTENT erratic idle speed on my 1990 3.9l RR, Lucas Hotwire EFI. 190kms. This problem has been around for 3 yrs and I have never got to the bottom of it. Even a speed garage has failed.
