UPDATE : Freelander intermittent start17 Apr 2007 20:06 GMT3
Just to let you know the Freelander went in this morning.
The fault apparently was a knackered Cam Shaft sensor, as reported by the
ECU.  The sensor has been replaced and the ECU is now clear.
Total cost of £146 inc vat and diagnostic.

Engine stuttering when fuel tank half full or less.16 Apr 2007 19:33 GMT4
SWB SeriesIII 2.25 Petrol
When I have less than half a tank of petrol the engine does not run well. I
would describe the symptoms as 'struggling for fuel' even under light load.
If I then limp into a petrol station and fill up all is fine - until the
V belt layout16 Apr 2007 18:25 GMT4
I would like to add on board air to my 3.5 V8 Defender. Have managed to
acquire air con compressor and mounting bracket and alternator and
mounting bracket from a 3.5 V8 Range Rover. What I really need is a
diagram or photo showing the layout of these components to ensure
Series 11a Clutch16 Apr 2007 03:53 GMT2
I am trying to get my Series 2a back on the road after a 2 year lay off. All
seems fine except the clutch operation. The pedal feels soft (compared to my

clutch does not release. The slave piston moves ...
Oil for 1990 RRC transfer box16 Apr 2007 00:23 GMT4

  V8 auto.
Silly question (probably):
Does the transfer box _really_ use ATF rather than engine oil?   The
disco 2 air spring removal15 Apr 2007 19:40 GMT3
Jacked up the chassis on axle stands, wheel removed, retainer clips
removed on top of spring, now waiting for it to depressurise. The
question is: the little black air hose; does it clip into the top of
the spring with some sort of retainer, or can I simply pull it out? I
Removing RRC/Discovery wheels14 Apr 2007 21:27 GMT7
Now don't shoot me down in flames, but how do you remove 5 spoke alloy
wheels??  There appears to be some sort of plastic cover over the nuts
which flatly refuse to come off, even though they feel a bit loose.
They're the 5 spokers from a Discovery, same as these >

101 lighting diagram13 Apr 2007 21:54 GMT5
Is the lighting diagram available on the web anywhere?
After 9 years out of use a mate has expressed and interest so I've

that was sorted it fired up immediately. Clutch was stuck to the
