For want of a better word, there are "rails" which run from the bottom of the bulkhead along the bottom of the doors to the back of the rear door. They carry the bottom door seals amongst other things. Anyone know their proper name? I need to replace mine.

Anyone here know the legal height restrictions for car parks? Yes I scraped the roof of my beloved Edie and she aint happy. The height bar is not highlighted in yellow / black stripes and the actually height is written small and is only 6'4".

While investigating the horrible graunching sound as the driver's door window lifts - and finding that the fixing for the bottom of the leading edge window frame is a pile of rust in the bottom of the door - I can see no sensor or switch to stop the window burrowing through the ...

Anyone tell me how difficult it is to renew the friction discs. Seems to be an awful lot of wheel hub to remove before bolting on new disc ?? Tia

Drove it home yesterday, 300 tdi ES. It wasn't a great price for nothing. No wheel spanner and jacking rods. Cruise control doesn't work

Ahh well... I did think that they would not last long.. NSF Mud flap has done a runner... forty foot lane was opened this morning, and there are a fair few large undulations along it, so i think that one of them must have had it.

Are there any old fashioned scrapyards around any more? The ones where you take your own tools and remove the bits you want? I'm reassembling my 38a and need lots of little bits of trim and bolts etc. It's not worth buying new but I would like to sort it out.
