the 101 now has shiney new ignition and should now have a monster spark. The timing has been advanced to 9btdc. However it is still suffering from a severe lack of beans when on gas. tops out at 50 in 4th, and 3rd seems to make lots of noise but refuse

I have had the misfortune to have an exhaust valve head snapped off and drop into the cylinder, ruining the head and scratching the bore. Now, I am getting the engine block out soon and I have just spent half an hour under the Landy (Defender 300TDI) working out how to do it. I
