LR sold.... sniff....24 May 2007 10:38 GMT1
Sadly the 300 TDi ES has gone to a good home. Doing 20,000 plus miles a year
meant a more economical vehicle than the 28mpg LR was called for. My Picasso
is only 9 inches shorter, 6 inches narrower and actually has a longer
wheelbase than the Disco. Won't be so good in the snow ...
RR Classic LPG Sparkplugs24 May 2007 09:56 GMT36
About to put new sparkplugs on a RR Classic 3.9 Catalyst for the first time.
I've got the Emmegas single-point LPG system and wondered what sparkplugs
you'd advise and if I need to change the plug gap to work better with the
LPG system. Would you also advise a certain brand of HT ...

www.landroveraddict.com/24 May 2007 07:45 GMT8
I've just tried to register on http://www.landroveraddict.com/smf/ in an
attempt to help some guys out with paint problems, but after half an
hour trying to get past the registration I gave up the performance.
What's worse is there doesn't appear to be a way to email them unless
replacing the head of  Freelander K Series23 May 2007 14:32 GMT4
Chaps,
I need some special bit/socket to get the 10 head bolts loosened on my
Freelander. It's clearly not an ordinary socket, maybe some type of
torx but Im not too sure.
Good price for 1957 LR23 May 2007 10:24 GMT5
I was impressed to see a 1957 Landy diesel go for £8600 on eBay today
(item 230130522022). It looks like an excellent vehicle, but I didn't
realise prices had reached that sort of level.

15 inches and tyres across France / Spain23 May 2007 09:03 GMT4
Toying with new tyres on the 110 before our trip across France and Spain
Often hear comments about tyre availability (We currently run 235/85 and
need the same rolling radius) being better on 15 inch rims.
What is the equivalent tyre size for similar rolling radius for a 15 inch
Defender V8 11023 May 2007 00:12 GMT2
Im looking to purchase one to pull a horse trailor with 2 horses weighing
over a ton + trailor weight. I had a disco but it struggled so I want a V8.
Ive looked across the net and found a black J reg for 5k. But missed it and
it sold elsewhere.
Range Rover P38 Diesel Glow Plug Trouble22 May 2007 18:29 GMT1
I thought I would add this post to share info with anyone else with the same
problem.
My 1997 2.5 DSE Range Rover P38 failed to start one morning.  The engine
turned over well, some smoke and unburned fuel could be seen/smelled at the

anyone got a printer that uses an HP 339 cartridge?
I've got a spare one here (opened but unused), which it turns out doesn't
fit mine.  Or at least, it fits, but the machine complains about it.
some machines are listed as taking both 338 and 339, but apparently mine
Disco 2 18/19 fit on Disco 1 without lift22 May 2007 12:03 GMT3
With the billet adapter can you get 18"/19" Disco2 / P38 alloys to fit
without rub? Or do you need a suspention lift?
Dont want to go extreme off road. Just horsebox off-roading at most.
Anyone done it? Pictures?
The ship of Theseus22 May 2007 09:38 GMT1
Maybe OT maybe not, but it is interesting to follow the debate following the
fire with the Cutty Sark, as to how much you can replace and it still be the
same thing.
An argument familiar to many of us I would think, when my chassis is a mass
Trolley Jack21 May 2007 23:17 GMT17
Anyone got a recommendation for a lightweight trolley jack.  I intend
keeping it in the boot to use instead of the bottle!!

Radio Aerials21 May 2007 21:06 GMT1
I have a "rubber duck" version on the front wing and from time to time all
seems well and then I go through a phase of either poor or virtually no
reception - recently fitting a new radio (fancy with Bluetooth 'phone
connection ability!) I lost all am/lw signals and only after ...
Testbook21 May 2007 20:07 GMT1
I have downloaded a copy of testbook, but adobe says I need more components,
but dont say which. I cant view pdf's.
