Up-rated brakes for a Disco I21 May 2007 19:09 GMT8
We've had our 50th Anniversary Discovery TDi from new, and since it was paid
for in full long ago, and I don't foresee being in a position to buy a new
one any time soon, I've spent lavish amounts on fixing the least little
thing that goes wrong with it.  I can look anyone in the ...
Looking for a defender snorkle21 May 2007 19:06 GMT11
Anybody know of the various ones available, which one employs the largest
diameter tubing?
I need it to feed a 6.5 liter engine, and don't think the diameter of the
paddocks offering is large enough.
Test Book longevity ??21 May 2007 17:11 GMT5
Just a thought; got the dear old beast in 1997/8 with intention of keeping
it until one of us falls ! However I reckoned without the ECU etc. Question
is how long are LR likely to be able to provide backup such as Test Book and
the alarm system spares, Test Book must be based in Win ...
Disco II ES & ES Premium21 May 2007 14:29 GMT1
Hi Guys & Gals,
I'm in the market to buy an '03 Disco II Automatic, I'd like an ES or
ES Premium, but what is the difference between the two, I had thought
it may be the SATNAV, but then I've found ES's with SATNAV, the main

Unofficial - Insurance21 May 2007 12:43 GMT100
Since my last effort at offroading ended in tears, is anyone going to
get cover for the Sunday at KORC?
Anyone done this before?
How much does it cost?
Disco roof rack...21 May 2007 10:11 GMT18
I'm looking for a Disco roof rack like this one (depending on price!)
does anyone know where I can get one from?  I've been looking but not
come across one, so I haven't even been able to price one up.

Fob Woes again20 May 2007 18:16 GMT4
The remote fob has packed up again! Am I right in assuming that I can get an
ecu with two matching fobs and just replace them? If so. I have the two new
fobs, can someone supply an ecu and program them? Any help appreciated.

Strange noise advice please20 May 2007 17:10 GMT2
Hi all, Defender 90 200TDi - rough bearing type noise on overrun.  No
noise while foot down.  As soon as I put clutch in all goes quiet.  Any
ideas?
Cheers,
VIC Test20 May 2007 16:29 GMT36
Today is turning into a bad one...
The guy that bought my old defender has just called me...
The DVLA will not issue a new V5 until a VIC test has been done on it.
When i sold it, it was sold for cash and as sold as seen. He had a good
RR 3.9 auto - gear selector slack20 May 2007 12:41 GMT7
Finally managed to get the top off the gear selector to enable the
source of the slack to be found and eliminated.  One source seems to
have been the pin which prevents the centre shaft of the selector from
twisting.  Pin was loose in the bottom of the well under the selector
Mr Blair getting a Disco20 May 2007 11:35 GMT7
Mrs D tells me he's ordered a £50,000 Disco which has been Gas proofed with
run flat tyres for the school run.
How have Landrover convinced him they do a Model that doesn't leak?
Should we invite him up to the unofficial for the BBQ?

Low Brake Pressure Range Rover P38a!19 May 2007 22:54 GMT3
The vehicle is a 1995 P38a 4.6 HSE Range Rover. Recently I have noticed the
brake pressure when first starting car is quite low, just about holds
vehicle when in reverse on a slight downward incline.  I have got in the
habit now of pumping break pedal a number of times before ...
Video cameras in your car?19 May 2007 22:00 GMT12
Wotcher all, if anyone's paranoid about accidents or being collared by
the boys in blue for something you didn't do (happened a few times to
me now) here's a piece of kit you might want to think about.  It's a
digital video recorder with four inputs that can store five hundred
