Compressor repair18 May 2007 19:48 GMT9
My compressor has given up the ghost, the rings/pistons are worn and
it's letting by. Ok, it's an old one, but it's a twin cylinder 15cfm
with 200l tank, I'm loathe to spend  £500+ on a new one.
Has anyone any ideas where I can get the compressor pump overhauled?
Korc, do you have to book?18 May 2007 13:27 GMT8
As header, Lee, are we booked in etc? Or is it just a turn up jobbie?
I hope you get there before us, It's a LONG time since it towed a
caravan LOL!!!
You may have to help me with it.
Defender 90 TDi, Starting woes..18 May 2007 09:35 GMT22
...yet again I have to seek the knowledge of this group and it's

Defender has been a little reluctant to start this last couple of
days, as if the battery was not fully charged.  However, lights and
Disco rear diff.  :¬(  (Was U.J. )17 May 2007 19:48 GMT6
Last week I mentioned the clunk from what I thought was a U.J.  well, it
went in Monday was was suspected to be more than that. So it went to
gloucester Rd gearboxes in Bristol.
They have replaced the rear diff. & U.J.
Not LR but good use of 4x417 May 2007 19:16 GMT6

One of my other haunts... couldn't resist sharing this one as it's clearly a
positive to use of 4x4's in the Town. In any other car that "Safety" camera
could have killed someone!

Sitting beside the tea-and-burger wagon in the supermarket carpark, I
overheard "oh wow, a purple land-rover.  How cool is that?  I want one!"

Replacing Series windscreen16 May 2007 23:07 GMT19
I picked up half a windscreen for my S3 at Driffield yesterday and it
has some sort of non-setting mastic around the edges, can anyone
recommend a source for this stuff or is a modern silicone type sealant
a better bet?.
A.C.E. on Disco 216 May 2007 19:04 GMT10
Here's an easy one for those in the know ...
Can anyone rate A.C.E. (Active Cornering Enhancement) on a Disco 2 in
respect of reliability? Are there any downsides to A.C.E.?
I also believe that A.C.E. and 18" wheels came as a linked package -

Landy Insurance16 May 2007 08:13 GMT5
Insurance has run out. Was going to sell but thinking now of re-insuring.
Anyone got any recommendations/cheap insurers for Landrovers?
Got a Defender 1989 118,000 mls on clock. Do about 3000 mls per year. Do
need to use it for work (my employer) occasionally.

differ much from a 2.25 petrol for all intents and purposes! (its even
