| Compressor repair | 18 May 2007 19:48 GMT | 9 |
My compressor has given up the ghost, the rings/pistons are worn and it's letting by. Ok, it's an old one, but it's a twin cylinder 15cfm with 200l tank, I'm loathe to spend £500+ on a new one. Has anyone any ideas where I can get the compressor pump overhauled?

Last week I mentioned the clunk from what I thought was a U.J. well, it went in Monday was was suspected to be more than that. So it went to gloucester Rd gearboxes in Bristol. They have replaced the rear diff. & U.J.

I picked up half a windscreen for my S3 at Driffield yesterday and it has some sort of non-setting mastic around the edges, can anyone recommend a source for this stuff or is a modern silicone type sealant a better bet?.

Here's an easy one for those in the know ... Can anyone rate A.C.E. (Active Cornering Enhancement) on a Disco 2 in respect of reliability? Are there any downsides to A.C.E.? I also believe that A.C.E. and 18" wheels came as a linked package -

Insurance has run out. Was going to sell but thinking now of re-insuring. Anyone got any recommendations/cheap insurers for Landrovers? Got a Defender 1989 118,000 mls on clock. Do about 3000 mls per year. Do need to use it for work (my employer) occasionally.
