Disco 1 - Steering Guard and A Bar ?12 Jun 2007 14:06 GMT5
I've currently got an A Bar on my Disco 1, which I think might be a
factory fitted one but I've not round any markings to confirm that.
Anyway now that I'm using it 'properly' I've been looking at getting a
steering guard that will fit with me A bar and was wondering if anyone

Recently I purchased a used bullbar for my 97 Discovery (V8, Airbag model).
I think its an "ARB" brand...its very similar to the bullbars most disco's
seem to have in British landrover magazines I have (3 horizontal small bars
across each headlight)

I have a 1999 DISCO 2 auto and it has developed a dam annoying
problem. Initially it started out that if i drove above 2.5k revs it
would start to miss fire and if pushed too hard i would loose all
power at the throttle and the engine warning light would appear, a

I've just chilled out ( several beers and a nice curry) after a  quite
exciting run back from Warrington with Carl's( Elder) Rangie which has now
joined the stable. I didn't get too far ( end of the road ) before a healthy
backfire stopped proceedings having blown the pipe off ...

I was feeling quite chuffed this morning as yesterday I'd finished the
head rebuild of my 2.25 SIII and managed to get it running without too
much trouble.
Thinking I'd have another look at the hand brake - or lack of - issue

Asked around about tyres today for you in France, the sized you asked
about was not listed, I found one listed as 31x10.5-15, and even with
that one listed as a stock tyre, the response was the equivalent of "not

Ned to adjust following timing chain renewal.  How do I loosen the rear
most nut?  I can't seem to get a socket onto it.  I'm probably missing
something bleedin' obvious...

I pulled the splined bit out of my p38 front propshaft with a satisfying
plop. Now I can't get it back in. It goes in a couple of inches but then
 stops and it won't go any further. Hydraulic pressure or what ?

I just phoned Kenlowe up to see if I could get one of their silicon
seal thingies that go into the rad hose where the sensor fits.
Straight through to someone who knew what she was talking about,
they're sending 2 out in the post tonight, and next time I'm in the
