Event Insurance Help29 Aug 2007 19:58 GMT13
I am organising an off-road day next month and need to get Public Liability
Insurance for the event, trouble is I can't find anyone who will cover it.

sport companies only insure accredited clubs etc.
Raymond Karczewski:  A Brother and a Troubled Man29 Aug 2007 16:18 GMT5
My name is Abraham Karczewski, brother of internationally known writer
Raymond Karczewski, an intelligent although troubled man who has
chosen to estrange himself from his family all in the divisive name of
a bizarre religion that he pieced together to help him cope with
How to open the bonnet of a 300 Tdi Disco29 Aug 2007 15:23 GMT2
Hello chaps.  I'm about to set about my dad's Disco with a gallon of
petrol and some matches because I can't get the bonnet open.  The
release cable has been disconnected somewhere, pulling the handle does
nothing, but the grille is largely missing, I may be able to activate
Results of fitting EBC "Greenstuff" brake pads29 Aug 2007 15:08 GMT8
I don't recall who suggested fitting EBC Greenstuff brake pads to my 50th
Anniversary Disco a couple of months ago, but many thanks to you.

Christ they like to make it hard, you have to take off the tensioner &
the other idler wheel to get at two bolts.
The old pump was utterly monged!
1.5 hours & all is well!
OIL28 Aug 2007 23:43 GMT2
As the proud owner of a recently acquired 1983 Series III, my
activities as a would be mechanic have so far been limited to cleaning
the engine and undercarriage whilst wearing a boiler suit and looking
quite macho.  I have changed the oil in and cleaned the filthy air

FFS! just got f.cking home, due to the c.nt that fitted my serpentine
belt fitting it that tight it's ripped the f.cking guts out of the
water pump. It is so tight you would not believe it.
Tramming up the A1 at around Retford i hear a funny rattle, it's the

I saw a 101 in Army colours today at about 10:00 on the B3212 near
Postbridge. It looked in good nick from a distance.
Do the Army still use them - or was it one of you guys ?

tomorrow - a Series 2a Lightweight.

doubt, highlight any faults :-)
Kirton off-road26 Aug 2007 23:10 GMT5
Been off-roading at Kirton this afternoon...
It's hot: if you're popping down tomorrow, make sure you have water for
self, engine, and pets.
