| V8 musings. | 21 Aug 2007 20:51 GMT | 13 |
As there appears to be some knowledgable people on here regarding the finest lump of alloy the British car industry ever managed to purloin I thought I'd share some of my recent musings. My beloved, and currently dead due to gearbox misbehaviour, Range Rover

| Heresy - burn the witch | 21 Aug 2007 17:31 GMT | 43 |
OK, so I've sold the Disco 2 for a reasonable if not stunning price, and I've got a <whisper> estate car instead. The logic behind this is a) I don't need my daily driver to be a 4x4 now I'm not towing the trialler around at weekends, b) if so, I could do a lot better than 23mpg ...

Stopped by an RAC man trying to persuade me to join up, says all his engineers have laptops to plug in to diagnose faults. On a 1986 2.5 petrol 90! Yeh right.

HI all, I have, as evidenced by my other posts, a 1996 Disco in the US (US spec). I have tracked down the overheating problem to a split in the bottom tube from the radiator. I would like to order this but need help to determine if my engine is EVAP equipped. My bottom tube ...

| Skimming a 300Tdi Head | 20 Aug 2007 19:00 GMT | 3 |
Anyone know how much you cam skim off a 300TDI cylinder heas? I have a head which has probably been overheated between pistons two and three and as a result the head is 'scalloped' between those pistons and the adjacent valve guides are poiting inwards and will not ground in.
