V8 musings.21 Aug 2007 20:51 GMT13

Heresy - burn the witch21 Aug 2007 17:31 GMT43
OK, so I've sold the Disco 2 for a reasonable if not stunning price, and
I've got a <whisper> estate car instead.  The logic behind this is a) I
don't need my daily driver to be a 4x4 now I'm not towing the trialler
around at weekends, b) if so, I could do a lot better than 23mpg ...

the moment I don't know what his spec is, e.g. how much to pull and
how often, but even without those two variables, I've heard that
electric winches need to be rebuilt regularly due to muck, and also

Being able to have a comfortable conversation in a 101 whilst driving......21 Aug 2007 11:57 GMT6
Now most of us just accept this as one of the things about driving
101's, and some times it is quite nice not having to listen to Dawn
ranting about something or other that I may or may have not done.
Decided today to fix the engine cover seal, being as I have plenty of
RAC man made me laugh!21 Aug 2007 09:43 GMT11
Stopped by an RAC man trying to persuade me to join up, says all his
engineers have laptops to plug in to diagnose faults.

96 Disco (US version) EVAP or not/how to tell?21 Aug 2007 03:08 GMT2
HI all, I have, as evidenced by my other posts, a 1996 Disco in the US (US
spec).  I have tracked down the overheating problem to a split in the bottom
tube from the radiator.  I would like to order this but need help to
determine if my engine is EVAP equipped.  My bottom tube ...

Skimming a 300Tdi Head20 Aug 2007 19:00 GMT3
Anyone know how much you cam skim off a 300TDI cylinder heas? I have a
