I have a 98 P38 fitted with a V8 Developments 5.3ltr engine. The last standard batttery I bough has lasted just 2 years and I'd like to buy the largest, highest cranking amp battery I can that will fit in the standard battery bay - any suggestions?

I just picked up the flywheel from my 3.9V8 from the local engineers who were skimming it for me. I'm more than a tad peeved at being quoted £25 and then being presented with a £75 bill, as "it's made of steel" - what did they expect - cast iron?!?!

It's just took me 8 f.cking hours to fit the Bearmach & Procomp lift kit, what an utter f.cking bastard of a job The dampers are gas, so have a wire holding them in so you can fit them. The only problem is you can't get at the top bit to take it off, it fouls the threaded bit,

I'm looking to spend about £6-7K on a rugged 4x4 but it must have both a good carrying capacity inside (at least 60" with the back seats down) and be able to legally tow a trailer and load of about 3500Kg. I'm not interested in 7 seats as I will normally only have me and 1 passenger ...

Sheesh !! I put 20 quids worth of unleaded in. travelled 70 miles round trip from norwich to burnham market. and by the time i got home i was on the red light low fuel warning. 21 litres or so divided by the mileage = 3.3 miles per litre !!

Would you believe it. Auto box wouldn't change up or at least not every time it should have. Was in dealers for a few days to sort out, since it would have been dangerous to drive.

Anyone know of a system that does this? bascially a heavy duty alternator that also gives you 240v AC via control box etc. I remember seeing something years ago on the net, but of course can't find it now. Seem to remember it can also weld with direct DC. I

The right hand side of the engine block (turbo side) on my 300tdi disco is covered in oil and I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what could be the cause, and what I need to do about it?
