| SIII Petrol - Air in the Fuel Pump? | 19 Sep 2007 13:01 GMT | 4 |
The LandRover is starting to run really well [and it's great to get the hard top off in the sun] but there is one intermittent niggle that I need some help with. Every now and then the engine starts to 'miss' and this is accompanied by a very noticeable loss of power / jerkiness. ...

Before I start, are there any "tricks of the trade" for bleeding the brakes on a Defender TD5 after fronts have been drained out for flexible and caliper replacement. Thanks

| Zinc plated screws in 300Tdi head. | 18 Sep 2007 09:09 GMT | 2 |
Here is a question for the technically minded........Due to unavailability of the correct studs for the inlet/exhaust manilfolds on a 300Tdi cylinder head, I am tempting to use straight forward galvanised screws in lieu of the normal ones ones which do not appear

| Rumbling diff or hub? RRC | 18 Sep 2007 08:44 GMT | 13 |
Some time back I posted a question regarding the rumble/vibration felt through the steering column and floor at varying speeds in my 1990 RRC 3.9 auto. I chickened out about dismantling the O/S/F hub - which is what I _thought_ was the probable soure and sent the vehicle to the ...

| Disco stereo - weird one! | 17 Sep 2007 18:23 GMT | 4 |
Factory Stereo in the Disco (DI - 96 "ES") was working fine until a couple of weeks ago, now when I press the 'mode/mute' button, it changes from Radio to CD as it should, but also mutes the CD! I cannot turn the mute off, so although the CD is playing I can't hear it! If I ...

I've been having an intermittent starting problem for a while on my Series III lightweight. It behaved OK at KORC, but I decided I needed to check and clean various terminals. It turns out that some REME oik-in-green had used a steel nut on the

| SIII Petrol - Oil Dipstick Markings | 17 Sep 2007 10:51 GMT | 2 |
On my oil dipstick I have three markings 'H', 'L' (which would be simple enough on their own), but there is also an 'ML' a little way below 'L'. Can anyone indicate the meanings of these levels - for the benefit of those of us who go through oil at quite a pace.

| RRIII - Reverse camera PAL? | 17 Sep 2007 10:17 GMT | 13 |
I've been tinkering and have managed to hook up a camera input into the Nav display for the reversing camera. I've also wired up the feed for the relay so the image pops up when reverse is selected or on a manual switch over for when we tow as the camera is used in the rear of ...

| Can I hack into my ECU then ? | 17 Sep 2007 09:03 GMT | 3 |
Seeing that posting about an EyeTeye diagnostic widget ... do they license anything from LR or is it just reverse engineering ? I was thinking about getting me AVO-8 out and figuring what sort of chat was going on.

| Cat D insurance write off? | 16 Sep 2007 16:43 GMT | 16 |
Had a Xantia rear my Disco on Tuesday, the insurance company sent an assessor out today, and he thinks it's probably a borderline as to weather the repair is financially viable. The only damage is to the rear bumper, every bit of plastic in contact with

| has anyone heard of v8 specialist RPI engineering | 16 Sep 2007 16:19 GMT | 25 |
Just popped my 110 to these guys for a once over, to see what would need doing, (BTW have a rover 3.9 efi V8). They are based in Horsford near Norwich. Chris the owner seemed to know his stuff about V8's in general and stocked literally dozens of said lumps lying all over the ...
