Burrt is due a colour change,  as the red paint Tim painted it with is

had just a couple of layers of olive drab) and the nearside.

Even without thrashing it it gets up to 30-40mph like a rocket! (in
comparison to both how it was and my car!) I now have to keep an eye
on my speed!. Before it seemed to like bumbling along at 25ish. That

TomTom - now resolved (I hope)04 Sep 2007 22:25 GMT3
Regular readers may remember I was whinging on about my 3-failures-in-
a-year TomTom GO700 a while back.  It was returned (repaired) for the
third time, and first time out it failed again, firstly switching
itself off and then refusing to turn on at all - all while the maximum
Q? Operation of B-W Xfer (RR Classic)04 Sep 2007 20:19 GMT5
Just a quick query, I know nothing about the workings of a Borg-Warner
Xfer box. I have one fitted to a 200Tdi, there is no difflock setting,
only high/low. I am led to understand that it has a LSD in the box.
If i lift any single wheel and attempt to turn it, it absolutly
Slack in drive shafts04 Sep 2007 17:17 GMT6
1986 90 2.5 petrol. 50,000 miles
Having checked and greased the UJs etc I notice there is a lot more slack
than I would expect in the drive shafts. This seems to come from the
gearbox/transfer box as the shafts themselves are OK. Is there a known

24 Hours of the new toy.04 Sep 2007 10:21 GMT18
It's got more bells, buzzers, fans and whistles than a branch of Toys are

learning about it's little perculiarities.

Need to replace the battery?03 Sep 2007 21:07 GMT9
Today starting up the wife's '95 Disco 1, it cranked awfully slow.
First time it's ever done that since we've had the car (didn't do it
yesterday?!) so I automatically assume the battery needs to be
replaced since I have no idea how old it is.
most annoying LR job ever..03 Sep 2007 20:56 GMT14
Accelerator linkage at the pedal end on a 101.
What a bastard!
