Blimey, called into the Land Rover agent on Gibraltar and asked for the price of a new 300Tdi Standard piston and they quoted £250! and a set of piston rings (for the other pistons) was £70 for one piston! It would be cheaper to buy a new engine at these prices.

I changed the Disco exhaust last night, in front of my shed was a very rusty chopped up at the back end exhaust. I went to get the blade out tonight & someone has nicked the old exhaust ffs!! Now, it has saved me a job, but f.cking Jesus wept.
Got a message on the dash today, 'fuel gauge fault', and at the same time the gauge dropped to zero and the light came on. Is there any common fault that causes this? I am guessing its the tank sender?
