My 90 looks odd when you look at it from square on front
I thought it was wheels out of balance.
The front bumper is about an inch lower at the end on the passenger side
than the drivers.

After a land rover less summer due to lack of time to change the head gasket
and replace the radiator, I'm trying to decide whether to do a complete
engine change, costing over £1,000 for a fully reconditioned engine fitted.
The original vehicle is a 1985, but was rebuilt in 1996 ...

Done my handbrake (that oil seal is the worst oil seal i have ever had to

How should the sliding joint come apart? I've still got the back of the

I originally posted this as being an alarm problem, but i'm not
convinced that is what it is any more.
Symptoms.  The problem normally starts with what sounds like the
alternator breaking through on the radio.  Sometimes this will go away

I see Scorpion and others are selling the VDO "diesel" rev counter, I assume
this is fed from the alternator?
Anyone got one, and/or know if it can be calibrated to suit the
application/vehicle?

are the  transfer box's interchangeable between 200 300 series 110 90 disco,
I suspect mine is about to collapse, (r380 retro fitted to early 110) at pay
and play yesterday and got stuck, stuck my head out the window for a look 1
front wheel spinning but no drive to rear, prop ...

I saw this and wonder what the hell you would want a pair for? Then it hit
me Series Landy simulation not only do you hear the engine etc but it shakes
your fillings loose at the same time

Pull and pull, i broke the front left handle of a Disco I Tdi.
The piece is a black rectangle of zinc-aluminium alloy with a a stamped code
"32 27 LH".
Being identified by unique code, i wonder if this piece could be available

These days , its not often that I do a job on the P38 that I enjoy.
The old dear failed the MOT on a duff exhaust and dodgy brake pipes
and after getting a decent price on an exhaust i was set up to do the
job. And do you know what? it went exactly to plan. Hour and a half to

Hi all.
I have DII V8. Since putting oversize tyres on it, I have noticed
that the OS front tyro 'just' touches the front, plastic mudguard
thingy, - the one at the back of the bumper. Only happens on full

Very disappointing, took delivery of a brand new 110 XS CSW last Tuesday and
it has a catalogue of faults.
1. Ticking noise from rear transmission/diff (may require replacement)
2. Loose item rattling around in dash (requires dash out)

I know it's been done to death here...but fookin' 'ell....the Texaco
garage in Coventry is selling normal diesel at £1.11 per litre!!  I
can understand independents selling at this price but you don't expect
the conglomerates to charge this much. Makes me glad I drive a V8!

Can anyone confirm that my factory fitted alarm is "Thatcham" approved. 2000
Range Rover 4.0 UK spec.
