How much play is acceptable in a wheel bearing?
My 90 is knocking from the Near side rear, mainly when i go over a bump

I have a 2002 disco with 70k miles and my trans torck convertor seems
to be going. When in fourth and accelerating, I don;'t get a rev up as
I would expect. any suggestion. It shifts funny!
I just had my trans oil replaced 5k ago to synthetics.

Just for information, heard from a tyre supplier just now (http://
www.mjmotorfactors.co.uk) that colway have gone bust (for the 2nd time
it seems from a quick web search). I've been hunting down some winter
tyres for the past week.

Ive always wanted a Discovery and finally bought a "mint" used 98 V8 (on
lpg) about 6 months ago.
I live in rural Australia, and actually need a 4WD, I do around 1000K's a

So it turns out that connecting all of the CD player's +12V inputs to a
permanent live was not such a good idea...ran my battery flat within a week
of having the 90 standing.
Is it worth buying a battery charger/conditioner and try and resurrect the

It's a 1986 110 3.5 V8 on carbs. Since fixing the exhaust and having
the cam replaced by Badger, it generally runs like a dream (and sounds
fantastic!). On a trip to Edinburgh on Monday (about 150 miles each
