| Discovery catalytic converter | 29 Feb 2008 17:02 GMT | 5 |
Anyone know if I remove the catalytic converter from my 2005 TD5 Disco if it'll make any difference? I assume the engine will be able to breath easier, and Rimmers list 2 downpipes, 1 with cat, 1 without. I also presume the MOT smoke test is essentially that, a smoke test with

| DiscoII central locking | 29 Feb 2008 09:30 GMT | 3 |
Strange, just happened. The drivers side door (RH) door lock won't pop up when I use the remote but does go down with the remote. Is this fixable or do I need a new actuator? Steve W (in Aus)

| Early Disco - Rear Sunroof | 28 Feb 2008 20:41 GMT | 12 |
I want to remove the glass from the rear sunroof on my 1990 disco. I've had a poke around but there doesn't seem any obvious way like the front sunroof which has a slot in the metal retainer. If there is something I'm missing please put me out of my misery....

| Winch bumpers, bull bars, light bars etc, what's the scoop? | 26 Feb 2008 23:37 GMT | 20 |
So I understand that bull bars are no longer able to be supplied and fitted in this great democracy we call home. what happens with existing kit? should it be removed? does this only apply to bullbars, or to bumpers and lights etc too? (apologies if this is a rehash)

| Rather worrying braking problem on 1997 Disco TDi | 25 Feb 2008 19:03 GMT | 6 |
This past weekend I did a bit of a lengthy drive (from Portsmouth in Hampshire, to North Somerset, going via Cheddar Gorge). Everything was fine until I'd almost reached the destination when I braked on reaching a narrow bridge.

| Disco 300 Tdi running on ... | 25 Feb 2008 18:12 GMT | 10 |
Just been out to change the oil, air and fuel filters. All went well, started her up again, got a few hiccups 'cos the fuel was empty, but it didn't stop then went for a drive round the block, all fine. So stopped, turned ignition off. Sat for at most five seconds, started it

Blooming thing sheared off just below the cap, noticed this large wet patch on the drive on Sunday. Got the threaded stub out and a replacement bleed screw but that doesn't really seal completely. Close examination of the top hose shows a small

Miles' boot floor is welded in and primered. The edges to be welded were treated with Hi-Zinc mig paint pre assembly so hopefully should be rust resistant - more or less galvanised by the heat of the welding. and I have a big tin of Isopon zinc
